I did this for space reasonsWhat I mean is that you were supposed to take the image everyone has added to so far and then draw another Pokémon in it. After that you can post it on Scratch or an image hosting site. Basically just adding another Pokémon instead of making a whole new scene.I asked for when I completed my part for it to be added along with the second version.FINISHED MY PART OF THE BANNERIt looks nice; the only problem is that like johnelr said, you're supposed to add on to the image that's already there.
but nobody’s done it yet… and I can’t image host so I can only display with projects or other’s image hosting…

Time for a random piece of trivia:I mean, Ketchum sounding like Catch ‘em is the classic pun that anyone can recognize. But it’s clever nonetheless. I also think that you're theory on the naming of Clemont is pretty clever, and I personally wouldn't be surprised if that was the actual reasoning behind his name.
Pokémon names are pretty clever. Whether it's Tepig being derived from “tepid” and “pig” or Purrloin coming from “purloin” and “purr”, the names are often a combination of two or more words. But I think this also happens with certain people's names. (And I'm not just talking about Ketchum sounding like “catch 'em”.)
One notable character from the Kalos region is Clemont, the leader of the Lumiose City Gym. Bulbapedia says his name comes from the term "lemon battery", which is like those videos that use a lemon or potato to power a lightbulb. However, in my history class I recently found out about the Clermont, which was the name of the first boat ever to use a steam engine for propulsion. Because the two names are so similar, I think this might also have something to do with how Clemont got his name.
Coincidence? Maybe, but coincidences are how most Pokémon names are created.
Also, plenty of Pokemon of have similar puns. Like how Ekans is snake backwards and Arbok is Kobra backwards.

What meme are you talking about?I actually found that meme quite recently but I think it was created in early 2020, I think it was about those ditto plushies that were disguised as other pokémon (in this case Glaceon, which are very cool btw) but it wasn't that popular so…
Also in my timezone apparently you have this forum's last post of 2021, that's epic
UPDATE: Apparently it was a youtube channel which for some reason became a meme on Scratch and ig they were quite popular

In all seriousness, this Bulbapedia page should help. It's missing the layout for Let's Go, but as far as I know it's the same as the Red/Blue/Yellow and FireRed/LeafGreen

I'm seeing Justice for Mothim around here quite a lot, which certainly makes me smile. Mothim is a Pokémon pretty dear to my heart, I think it was the first Pokémon I ever drew.
That Mothim plush looks amazing, as does the card.

ill do this daily and it will take at least 3 months (no i didnt calculate I'm just guessing randomly)
all pokemons in order but i draw like a 4 years old kid: #1, #2, #3
bulpasour, snivysaur and venusaur
Agreed. I love to hear opinions on Pokémon games (especially gen 8 because I haven't really been able to articulate my thoughts about it properly)snipplease do. I want to hear it
gen 8: hot take, i didnt like this gen. none of the designs were that strong for me. most of my team was just old mons, rather than using anything new. i guess first two of scorbunny line, but gen 8 is the only game i've strongly considered benching my starter. i didn't, but still. gen 8 has the worst starter trio in the franchise. i didn't enjoy gen 5's starters that much(other than oshawott i just plain don't like them.) but i'd still use any of them. i'm not gonna keep ranting rn, but i will gladly make a post of all my issues with gen 8 if yall want it.

I think some of the Pokemon are definitely more ‘lazy’ compared to other Gens, and some are just uninteresting and generic. But I think some Pokemon from Gen 8 has some really cool designs. I need more opinions on Gen 8 though, so I'm willing to read anyone's opinion on it honestly.

I currently just beat the 6th gym on my first playthrough of Brilliant Diamond, and I finally got my final team! Thoughts? (Note: I'm just a casual player and picked these Pokemon because I thought they were cool lol)
Torterra - My starter! I've always wanted to use one on my team. It's the only grass-ground type and is just really cool in my opinion. I named it Tuga.
Luxray - Everyone else is probably using one too, but it's just a really awesome electric-type Pokemon! :P I named it Luz. (pronounced like the English word “loose”)
Houndoom - I found this Houndoom the first time I went spelunking in the Grand Underground, and named it Blaze. I was not expecting to use a Houndoom, in fact, I didn't even know it was possible to get one in the GU this quick! But I decided to use one on my team since the dark-fire typing is pretty cool, and after looking at all the other fire types in BDSP, decided it would make a great fire type for my team.
Gyarados - Okay, at first I didn't want to use a Gyarados because I've already used a Gyarados in my Sword playthrough. And my Let's Go Eevee playthrough. And also my Sun playthrough. But Magikarp are found so early in the game and Gyarados is such a good Pokemon in my opinion so I just had to use it. :P My sister named it Leviathan, after a sea serpent from mythology apparently.
Gardevoir - I used a Gallade in Sword, so I decided to use a Gardevoir here! I named it Grace, and it's been a great Pokemon to have so far. I talk about how I got it in detail in this post.
Lucario - I've always thought Lucario was cool so I made sure to get one for my team! Unfortunately, to get one, I had to get access to surf by doing the 5th gym so I could go to Canalave City, then take a boat to Iron Island to get the Riolu egg, which meant I had to grind it a bit to the rest of my team. I evolved it by using a soothe bell, which sped up friendship. And after a bit of grinding in the GU and some rare candies, I had an epic level 40 Lucario named Azure. It's still like 6 or 7 levels below the rest of my team, but I already love using it and it's been a great Pokemon to have.
I've also just realized 4 of my 6 Pokemon have mega evolutions. :P Too bad you can't mega evolve in BDSP…

I currently just beat the 6th gym on my first playthrough of Brilliant Diamond, and I finally got my final team! Thoughts? (Note: I'm just a casual player and picked these Pokemon because I thought they were cool lol)Why is half your team the same as mine. for reference, my team is:
Torterra - My starter! I've always wanted to use one on my team. It's the only grass-ground type and is just really cool in my opinion. I named it Tuga.
Luxray - Everyone else is probably using one too, but it's just a really awesome electric-type Pokemon! :P I named it Luz. (pronounced like the English word “loose”)

Turtel the torterra - i just decided to pick turtwig one day. earthquake is awesome.
Sparks the Luxray - caught it early on and went “yeah” and its been a mainstay ever since.
Flap the staraptor - this pokemon is kinda good. i caught it early on and its always been useful.
JRose the kadabra - kadabra hits like a truck, and i don't think i've ever used a psycic type except in white, and i never beat that game.
Dark Bark the houndoom - i needed a fire type and houndoom came to the rescue, conviently also being at a much higher level than the ponyta in the area. its quickly become one of my favorite mons.
Steelther the scyther - trade evolutions are annoying, i was really looking forward to getting a scizor before i remembered. still gets tons of crits though.
i considered adding a mothim to my team, but that would mean boxing turtel because there is no other spots on the team, and i'm not the kinda monster who would box my starter in my first run of a sinnoh game.

I also am interested in hearing opinions on Gen 8. I think Gen 8 for me falls somewhere in the middle; not the best Gen, but not the worst.Curious, what do you think is the worst gen?
I think some of the Pokemon are definitely more ‘lazy’ compared to other Gens, and some are just uninteresting and generic. But I think some Pokemon from Gen 8 has some really cool designs. I need more opinions on Gen 8 though, so I'm willing to read anyone's opinion on it honestly.
Looks like the Amethyst Queen strikes again on page 136
I personally don't have any strong opinions on gen 8 as a whole. If you consider BDSP part of the gen, I think it ranks pretty low (speaking as someone who has never played bdsp before, but has played platinum. i can elaborate on this if you guys want)
Speaking purely from a SwSh standpoint, I don't think gen 8 is bad at all! Not the best, but not the worst either. I'm going to just quickly go over what I think about the gen in minimal detail. I've probably done this before lol i don't remember
- I actually disagree with you there, AmethystQueen. I think gen 8's mon designs were one of its strong suits. I think the designs felt pretty lively and bouncy, which are qualities I really enjoy in Pokémon designs especially (should also mention I really enjoy object-based Pokémon). However, I can definitely see why you'd think they're lazy. Their inspirations are pretty obvious, and they're rarely modified a ton. Barraskewda is just a fish, and Rookidee is just a bird. The list goes on.
- The worldbuilding for Galar is simply amazing. All of the buildings, signs, traditions, and NPC dialogue really make the world feel complete. From the sponsors and brands lining the Gym stadium walls to the little boy sitting on the fence as Butterfree fly in the background in Postwick, Galar has some of the best worldbuilding I've seen in a Pokémon game by far.
- The character designs, like the Pokémon designs, are amazing. They're recognizable, lovable, and unique. I'd go so far as to say moreso than any other generation, but that's debatable. There's a reason why nearly every new character was trending when they were announced.
- I think where gen 8 really falters is its storyline. It feels two-dimensional, poorly paced, and rushed, in my opinion. The Gym Leaders have little to no involvement with the plot. The villain's motives are silly to the point of becoming nonsensical. Leon's status as champion is used for plot convenience, where he quickly solves problems for us and then lets us deal with the aftermath. To top it all off, Marnie, for as amazing as her design is, is completely irrelevant. You only battle her, like, twice. I think. The entire overarching plotline is just confusing and not explained properly - everything of note seems to have already happened some 2,000 years ago. Or that's what I think. I couldn't really tell.
- Gen 8 was also not so great in its map design. Compare the map of Sinnoh to that of Galar. Compared to the deeply interconnected Sinnoh, Galar has 3 major (hallway-type, no less!) pathways. Furthermore, compare Mt. Coronet's map (and this is only the outside of the mountain! to what is arguably Galar's biggest dungeon, Galar Mine No. 2. Nowhere in Galar did I truly feel like I was exploring uncharted territory, like a real adventurer worthy of beating Leon. Really my biggest gripe about the game I think
- The music slaps lmao I don't think I need to elaborate. Especially Oleana's theme and, my personal favorite, Storming Rose Tower. The composers, as usual, delivered.
- Gigantamax as a whole is a mediocre mechanic imo especially when it could have been merged with megas which are far more radical
- The quality of life upgrades and customization. Oh, hoo boy, the quality of life upgrades! This factor single-handedly saved the game for me. I LOVED the league card customization, I LOVED the trainer customization options, I LOVED the new box system, I LOVED the bottle caps and ability patches, I LOVED the idea of raid dens you can join other people in, I LOVED the marking system, and I LOVED the UI. I could name a ton of other things here that I loved in this regard. This is why I can't stop revisiting SwSh whenever I feel like getting into some battling - it streamlines things so much! Grinding is simply a pain of the past with Exp. Candies. God, I could go on for hours about this. It's amazing.
Oh well that was longer than I thought here's a tl;dr
tl;dr: i like the pokemon & character designs a lot. worldbuilding is spectacular. story falters. map design is horrendous i think. music is super great. gigantamax is mediocre. quality of life improvements single-handedly make swsh games I love to play and revisit. the dlcs were cool too
yea those are my not-so-quick opinions on gen 8 thank you for coming to my ted talk. oh and obviously the dex cut kinda stinks lmao dunno what the heck gamefreak was thinking there
I currently just beat the 6th gym on my first playthrough of Brilliant Diamond, and I finally got my final team! Thoughts? (Note: I'm just a casual player and picked these Pokemon because I thought they were cool lol)Tuga is a super cool name for Torterra! I like Torterra's design a lot. Similarly, Luz is a great name for a Luxray. I love Luxray too!
Yeah, Houndoom is a pretty great Fire-type. Really pairs well with Torterra, I think. Didn't know you could get it from the Grand Underground!
Feel you there with Gyarados. It's so good I can't help but use it all the time. Generally carries my team in every game I've had it lmao.
Gardevoir is certainly a Pokémon that grew on me. I like it a lot.
Lucario may be hard to get, but it's certainly worth it. Looks super cool on your team and generally pulls a ton of weight. Names have been on point with the past 3 of these!
Overall, super solid team 10/10 would totally wreck the Pokémon League
While we're talking about our gen 4 teams, here's my Platinum team! Lost my save data unfortunately :( but whatever live and learn
- Infernape: I had actually been debating about my gen 4 starter for a while. Eventually I realized I couldn't resist monke and ended up choosing Chimchar. Best decision I've ever made probably, I really loved using the Chimchar line. It's super fun! I ended up naming mine Francine, since it turned out to be female.
(i name all my pokémon questionably human names it's simply a thing I do my apologies)
- Staraptor: Super cool Flying-type! Definitely a good regional bird in all senses of the word. Loved Fly spamming until I eventually got Brave Bird. Will say that it didn't do AS much damage as I would have hoped, so much so that my other Flying-type ended up doing more damage… (I named it Jatayu. My mom suggested that one.)
- Togekiss: I really loved using Togekiss, it has such delightful move coverage and it did a good bit of damage. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to realize its full potential because it had Hustle over Serene Grace. My other Flying-type, again, did more damage. Oh well, it is what it is. Named it Selene!
- Gliscor: I think this was my second-favorite Flying-type to use! It was super great, being immune to Electric and Ground and all. Its effectiveness only doubled when I finally managed to get Earthquake wrestled on it. Super good, and I'd recommend it to everyone! I named it Louis. This was about a year ago, so in all honesty, I cannot remember why I named it that. I just know there was a reason.
- Weavile: Got this in the super late-game. It took a while to evolve and raise, but it was by all means worth it! It absolutely soloed Cynthia, no joke. Wiped her entire team and I didn't even need to switch out. Criminally underrated. I named it Molly.
- Chatot: THE UNEXPECTED MVP. I got this from an in-game trade with an NPC, so it was named Charap by default. Tanked hits like an absolute boss. Chattered literally everyone on literally every trainer's team to death. Never failed to come through whenever the rest of the team was in danger. Would not have defeated the Elite 4 without it (which probably says more about my skill than anything else but whatever). I was suspicious about using Chatot, a favorite of mine, at first - but thank goodness I did. My Platinum experience was super fun, but using Chatot only made it funner!
I'd highly recommend people use “underrated” or otherwise weak Pokémon in their playthroughs. The results might surprise you!

-snip-Your team sounds really cool in general, but I think that it's a pretty weird coincidence that your Gyarados is named Leviathan. I planned at first to use a mythology naming theme for my team, so I called my Infernape sun wukong (I usually type in all lower-case) and my Gyarados leviathan. I also had help from my brother to find the name, which makes the parallel a bit weirder

I figure since people are posting about their Sinnoh teams, I may as well join in:
Infernape: My starter, of course. Sinnoh is well-known for its lack of fire types, so I decided to take the fire-type starter. I named it “sun wukong” because at the time, I thought I would be able to keep up a mythology naming theme (I failed). Overall, Infernape was a pretty lackluster member of my team. It didn't get great moves, it didn't hit hard enough to OHKO and it didn't take hits well.
Crobat: I didn't want to overlevel my starter in the early game, which made it a bit of a struggle since I was pretty much soloing with a Zubat. It evolved just after Cycling road, not once but twice, and from that point things got a lot easier. Overall this was a solid member of my team - it wasn't as useful in the late game, but it still held it's own. I named him “acrobat” after chuggaaconroy's Crobat, but it never learned Acrobatics :/
Gyarados: Also struggled a lot in the early game because of this thing, but once it evolved it was great. My only complaint is that it's ability (Intimidate) extended every battle by a couple of seconds and was usually pointless. Named this “leviathan”, following the mythology theme.
Magnezone: My fourth team member and my first one from the Grand Underground. I wanted to use this after using it in Pokémon Showdown, and while it isn't as good in a regular playthrough, it was still fun to use, despite the lack of a great electric move for most of the game. I should have probably made better use of TMs. I named this one “ufo”, which still sort of fit the theme.
Garchomp: I didn't unlock Strength until right before the 7th gym, because I walked right by the Lost Tower. Because of that, I got this too late to be really useful, and spent a lot of time grinding it up before the 8th gym. That said, it's been really powerful in the post game. I named it “molduga”, after LoZ.
Froslass: I really wanted to use a Froslass and luckily I was able to because of the Grand Underground. I spent a while running in and out of rooms looking for female Snorunt, but eventually I got one and it was… underwhelming. Froslass just isn't that great. I named her “yuki onna”

Curious, what do you think is the worst gen?lol this may start a war but imma answer that anyway
Well, just a quick disclaimer: some of the thoughts I'll share here are purely from a perspectical way since I've not played every single one of the main series games, and that means that I'll use what I know about some gens that I've not played yet based on playthroughs and reviews
So since every gen contains at least two mainline games, it's kinda difficult to judge every gen since there are games that are kinda different even though they're in the same gen (like S/M and Let's Go)
I made sort of a rating of all the mainline games a while ago and if I had to calculate an average between games of the same generation the list'd go like this:
#1: Gen 2
#2: Gen 5
#3: Gen 4
#4: Gen 1
#5: Gen 3
#6: Gen 6
#7: Gen 7
#8: Gen 8
However this isn't a list I agree 100% with
Objectively, the best gens would be a tie between Gen 2, Gen 3 and Gen 4 since they are the gens that've introduced the biggest amount of new features and mechanics that've remained until now since most of them were important for the series. Meanwhile the worst one would be Gen 1 which can't be judged like the other generations so here the worst one would be Gen 7
But imo the worst gen is generation 8 and (excluding BDSP) this is the gen that I had the opportunity to play and oh boy, SwSh was so bad compared to what I've played related to Pokémon (maybe because I skipped gen 6 and gen 7). I originally wanted to play it to see if it was as bad as the people said it was at the time and, to my surprise, I got bored quickly and I think I didn't even finish that game. I've got a lot of issues with SwSh but what annoys me the most is how incomplete the game is and no, I'm not talking about the national dex but the experience itself and the best that this game has is The Crown Tundra which is a DLC.
I wouldn't want to talk about BDSP since I'd start a flame war because of how controversial BDSP is, but to put it shortly I didn't expect anything from those games and received nothing from those games.
Of course not everything is bad with Gen 8, I really like most of the pokémon introduced in those games. There are some interesting characters too like Hop and Bede which are very interesting rivals, maybe they're part of the best pokémon rivals, the fact that they've added the overworld encounters from the Let's Go games is something that fits very well in these games (probably better than LGPE), the lore of some mons are super interesting and the Sword/Shield OST is incredible but if there's something Pokémon never used to fail is in the music until-
