Congrats Everyone! Sci-Fi and Poetry were fun to compete with! The writing comp winners deserved there places, and overall this session has been an awesome one :DDD

Hihihi - sorry to reactivate this forum but we'd like to ask for some opinions for the upcoming session ^^' How would you all feel about the option of being able to choose three co-leaders along with one or two? Do you think it could cause trouble in this forum, and more importantly, how many of you would actually take that opportunity? In my personal opinion, it might create a bit of unrest with people who haven't been picked, and even though some of you might have only chosen two co-leaders, you might think that's enough and then still get the pressure to choose another, but I'd really appreciate it if you could let us know what you think :0

Personally, I wouldn't prefer this option as 2 co-leaders already seem enough. Even 1 co-leader is still satisfactory and 3 co-leaders would be pretty confusing considering that all together, there would be 4 leaders discussing everything. Also, that means that all together, it's possible that there are 15 leaders and 45 co-leaders and that seems a bit too much though this is my opinion as more of an introvert. ^^ I know it's an option but it still seems a bit too much. If I were a leader, I would take 2 co's or maybe even one but that's my opinion.
I suppose you could leave it as an option though I'm not entirely sure how leaders will take it.

edit: now that hop says it, I think that 3 co's would be a good idea for inactive/new leaders. both mech and ozzy were mostly inactive for the whole session (they're great, just weren't very active) and I was forced to add all words and such ^^

I agree - especially on the point that discussing with 3 other people rather than 2 might make for a much slower, more convoluted decision process when planning cabins…

I'm not sure it would work very well. I feel like it would make things a lot more chaotic and harder to manage, not easier. Even if it was an option, I'd still go with two.

Maybe specific leaders who may be less active than others, but if the leaders will be pretty active I don’t think they should have the option. Like if a leader says they’re going on vacation— maybe 3 cos? Or if the leader has their activity put as 6/10 or something. I think it would be too crazy for everyone to have 3.

But it would be VERY helpful to have 3 with less active leaders. (I say from experience, and all the leaders that left mid session)

To expand on what I said,
3 cos should only be available to people who may need extra help (ei: new to swc altogether)
or, a leader who will be active less, on vacation or taking a hiatus

I think leaders definitely be able to decide whether they want one, two, or three co-leaders ^^ Some new (haven't been a co or a leader before) leaders might find it handy to have three other people assisting them with running a cabin, whereas experienced leaders might prefer to just have one. It’s honestly about how comfortable they are with having more people working with them. Although most people, including myself, would opt for the classic number of two or possibly one, I’m sure this would definitely be an advantage for new leaders who need a bit more help with running their cabin ^^

Another advantage that this would have is that more applications would get accepted, and high-quality applications that were ignored could have a second shot. I’m not sure that having more applications would be a good thing at the moment, as the leader forum would definitely see a lot more activity and important posts would get buried easily. In summery, this addition has its highs and its lows, but I’m generally in favor of it.

In November, one of my co-leaders couldn't be online at all at the beginning of the month, and was barely active the rest of the session. If one of us had to leave, then they could just transfer studio ownership to another co until they can be active again.
Those are just my reasons why I think it should be an option, and I would personally most likely choose two, but I think any leader should have the choice if they'd like. If it was an option last session, I probably would have chosen another co, since it was my first time (co)leading, and only my second session overall.

I think that’s a great option! Maybe we should limit the amount of people doing the 3 co’s. Maybe only for newer leaders so they can have more legs on the table :> I’m that case if we do so we possibly should raise the amount of campers a bit. Also, when we were signing up for November leaders/CO’s
We weren’t quite sure how school would fit into our schedules but now that most of us are in school knowing how that would work out more people will sign up

i think three is a little much. having to plan it out with three people would be hard, plus the forum might get a little chaotic.


i agree with hop ^^ three cos might work as long as people can pick if they want to or not - personally, i’d only work with two(maybe?) but i think for some people, they’d love to have three cos!

Generally speaking the option for 3 co-leaders could be a good fit ^^ If I had the choice as a leader I wish /j, I personally wouldn't choose it as it'd take a longer amount of time to discuss with all three co-leaders and agree on whatever there needs to be agreed on. Having three co-leaders could also be a great experience, take a new co-leader and new leader, with two other experienced co-leaders–and that'd make a good team, balancing off each other :) I agree with Vivi on knowing how a in-person school schedule balancing a co/leading SWC, they'd know what's expected & if someone drops out, you could still just continue going with the sad leave.
I do think that a new leader, new co-leader, and experienced co-leader would work just as fine as well too; but everyone has good agreements and disagreements :D

It would increase studio activity and increase chances of quality apps getting chosen and more applicants will also get the chance to lead a cabin. There would also be more people to add points. Like a few mentioned, if the leader or other cos aren't as active, having 3 cos would be helpful but what if that extra co is also rather inactive? It's honestly up to the leaders to decide but I'd personally go with either one or two cos.
