i've never seen akame ga kill, but i think that's an interesting quote.
Sins cannot be erased, but do they still negate the power of the good deeds? Did your good deeds not make others' lives better because your past actions made others worse? I think that bad things that one does and the good things that one does cannot be properly compared because they are so fundamentally different. Those who hate you for the things you've done have all the right to hate you, and those who love you for the good you've done for them have all the right to hate you. In a way, I guess your “sins” apply on a person by person basis. If you've done bad to one person but did good to another, you haven't “repented” for the one you've hurt at all. Sins cannot be erased, but they can be forgiven by the one they'd hurt.
