Okay, I just read an Amazon review for Explorers of Sky. Explorers of Sky tells you what happened to Grovyle? I have to know! Is it really in Sky? If so, can someone pleeeeeeease tell me what happened to him? Every time I replay that story, I always wonder what happened…

I played Explorers of Sky a while ago, and I recall very little of it.
But after what point do you need to know about Grovyle?
I think he either sacrifices himself to get rid of Duskinor, or goes out of existence once the dark future you came from is erased.

That's about all I remember. All I know is that he's not on my team, so he either is lost or vanished.
It's a shame, since he was a lot of fun to team with.

In the special episode In The Future of Darkness, Grovyle (after returning to the future) teams up with Dusknoir for some reason (don't remember). Then it turns out that the entire thing was a ploy by Dusknoir and the plan was to kill Grovyle. However, Dusknoir saves him at the last minute. Suddenly, the dawn begins to come (because of the actions of the player in the main storyline). All the Pokemon from the future begin to disappear, but then they wake up and they haven't disappeared. This was through the “power of a higher being,” in the words of Dialga.

So pretty much everyone lives. It's a good ending.

I remember at the end, Grovyle yelled over a cliff to the player character and their partner, hoping that they will hear him, and assures them that he's okay. It's kind of assumed that the message never reached them, as it's never mentioned in their part of the story.
