Remove 480x360 Image Limit

I know this might sound strange, since Scratch is based on 4:3 resolution. But i am doing a scrolling game and this limits me to add just 2700 tiles (8x8 tiles), which might sound big, but actually no, the maps are just too short.

I would suggest to add a mode in costume editor which should let you have unlimited space to draw, just like some other softwares do, like Microsoft Paint 7.

I know Vector Mode extends a bit my maps (6075 Tiles), but it's still kinda hard to work with, since you have no perfect pixel alignment, and lower quality when size is changed from a change size block.

Please reply to my comment if you agree or not, your opinion might help if ST makes its way into this topic.

If you could make bitmap images large enough, it would easily surpass the asset limit of 10 MB.

Well, if infinite size would reach this asset limit, then at least they could make it a little bigger like they did with vector mode.

The reason vector mode is bigger is because vector takes up less storage space when you make larger shapes with it, because vector is secretly XML text. However, I do think that it would be nice if the bitmap area was slightly bigger, but it should still show the previous boundaries, so that when you want something to fill the stage, you'll know how big it has to be.

Yeah, that's a good idea

But making sounds large enough would surpass the limit as well. However, with images, lossless compression is used, so various regular patterns such as limited colours will result in a lower size than random pixels. Also, Scratch 2.0 and 3.0 already have double resolution in their bitmaps.
