That's my island (which I've now decided to name “Paradis”, by the way) and yeah, you're free to trade with the villagers. :)

Since coal is apparently quite rare around spawn, I've setup a shop to sell the coal I've collected in building the highway.

You can buy 2 blocks of coal for one diamond (Prices subject to fluctuate)

Any purchases go towards Diamond pickaxes/armor to assist with the journey to the world border.

Also this weekend the farmstsnd will be adding a new item to the shop- Coal blocks! The price will be 1 diamond for 3.

This has made me realize the importance of a permanent, personal base.

I am currently building Zarton-I in an unspecified location.

Will not be revealing coords, you'll just have to stumble across it yourself.

Please don't build to the border all the way. It causes INSANE amounts of lag when someone is out that far. I once went to 8000 4000 and the border is almost 4 times as far.

Please don't build all the way there. Maybe go to 5000 on each highway and stop.

EDIT: When I went that far, the server went to 1 TPS and 1000 MSPT. I can't imagine what would happen if you went that far.

I don't think that lag was from being out really far. It was more likely caused by many players and chunks being generated too quickly. That was also before we had lithium, if I remember correctly. I don't think your coordinates effect how much lag there is.

Not really? I'll be digging a path and bridging anyway, so it's not like it'll generate tons of chunks super fast

The Server Hall is now open!
It's still being worked on but you can go in and buy a shop stall.
Plans:
Floor 4 - Faction Center (for factions to sort out diplomacy) (also has a flag room)
Floor 3 - Apartments
Floor 2 - LavaLand donation center (lavaland is a company that makes things like this to benefit the server, we take donations that always are used in our projects)
Floor 1 - Library, Food hall and Shops
