yeah… I think you know about the dolls metaphor that sparked with the releasing of the horror film “Annabel.” Theoretically, this type of image tends to scare young children, and Scratch is a website for children 8 and up. You don't know how young of a child would be watching that, and what they would perceive.
Oh, and this isn't a bug/glitch. It's something that is generally related to Scratch or the Scratch Team so post this in Questions About Scratch.

it could just be stupid kids reporting projects for no reason at all.

I'm fairly certain it is true, as several projects that mention that specific series have been taken down, and the ST stated that anything referencing that series will be taken down.

This is a terrible conclusion to jump to, there is no evidence, and it's mostly just jumping to “my project got removed because people are stupid”, which is never a good resolution. This did have a valid reason, and if there was nothing wrong with the project, it wouldn't have been manually taken down. Anyway, this topic isn't really a bug, so I'm going to report it to be closed.

It's actually true. This is one media we were made aware of pretty early, and so we're nipping it in the bud before it becomes too widespread on the Scratch website.
