Unsaved project?-SOS Help!

Hi, I recently worked on a project for days and days on constructing a game for a project and when we were ready to present it, our coding was gone and our game was all dislodged. We honestly couldn't figure out and we redid the game and yet again, once we refreshed it was gone. Then we were looking on Google to see if there were any other people who had the same issue and we found out some people had this problem because it was unsaved and you guys were able to restore their coding from their project. If you could please help us, that would be very appreciated. We provided the url that the project is under if that helps:

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/208054038/

Thank you again for helping out. Our fully completed game before it was lost was there last Thursday, March 15-last Friday, March 16 when it was gone.

Thanks,

We're not sure if there is a way to view drafts or if it kept track because I thought in the introduction on how to use it, it explained how it automatically saves as you go.

It's always a good idea to save copies of the project to your computer in case of things like this. I've had stuff go missing in my projects before. I have seen @Paddle2See able to recover an older version of projects before, so maybe ask him on his profile.

Yeah I would say to contact Scratch admin by email or the Contact Us page. They only recover projects for certain reasons as the recovery process, from what I have heard is time consuming and annoying. Otherwise, for the time being I would try to create a new Scratch account (you can use the same email address) and try to recreate the project there. It could possibly be that there is something wrong with your account.

Or it could be the software you are using…. Have you tried running the project on a different computer/browser/operating system?

We haven't tried on a different software and will try that. We also contacted the admin, we weren't even aware that it wouldn't save but thank you guys so so much for all of your help.

Most people helping here are just volunteers and have no control over anything to do with Scratch. Try the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page. However be prepared for bad news, if you never saved your project there may be nothing they can do.

Unsaved project?-SOS Help!

I made a very cool project. I coded many animals, their structure and noises were extremely difficult. Then, I made readable books, and I made an astonishing-graphics park by mouse-pointer by myself and suddenly everything is lost! I'm too distraught. I've been crying about it for minutes and minutes! Please help!!!
Please don't necropost. Reporting to be closed.

Ask yourself, if you were hacked and lost hours, upon hours of work, would you regret not having a strong password that only takes 5 minutes to make?

Is it time to update your password? Here are some tips to make a strong password:

Length: The longer the password, the stronger it is. A password that is at least 12 characters long.
Complexity: Combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols to make it harder to crack.
Uniqueness: Don't use easily guessable information like your name, address, or date of birth. Also, avoid using the same password for multiple accounts.
Passphrases: A phrase made up of random words, numbers, and symbols, as these can be easier to remember but still secure.
Randomness: Use a random password generator to create a unique and unpredictable password.
Regular updates: Regularly change your passwords to stay ahead of potential security threats.

Remember, the goal is to create a password that is strong, unique, and difficult for others to guess.

I would estimate more than 40% of scratchers have passwords that are hard to guess by a human, but easy to guess by a computer. You never know if today would be the day you lose everything.

Even if just one person was saved from losing hours and hours of work, my mission is accomplished.

Unsaved project?-SOS Help!

I made a vector trace: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/610805734/ I finished it… I pressed alt and used the mousepad, it started to freeze, it went to a white screen (the Scratch website, that is). It took hours and hours, when I tried to leave the tab and refresh, it didn't say “you didn't save your project” or something like that. You could move and stuff, but it reset EVERYTHING… I was literally crying. Someone says Scratch has a place where it stores all unsaved things, but I don't know how to access it.

It can take up to two weeks to fully become a scratcher. Maybe we can do the process faster?
