Which deletes are "soft" and which are permanent?
I saw in the config that when something is soft deleted, it is automatically moved to the dustbin, and soft-deleted posts are moved to a certain topic.
I'm guessing that when a mod deletes a post, it is a “soft” delete, but when a Scratcher deletes a post, is that a “soft” delete or a permanent one?

This is on the forum right? I suppose it should be a soft delete, so that the ST can review the post in case it's spam/inappropriate, and accidental deletes can be recovered.

Yep, they're pretty much all soft deletes by default. ST can hard delete, but we probably never will.

LightninI thought mods can hard delete too?

Is soft deleting when the post just gets moved to the trashbin (or dustbin or whatever)?

MokatYeah. It means the ST is able to still recover it.
