Not a bit - I've know this and the fact that once you open an Email the sender can see your IP address. How this works is that it contains a link to an image on a remote server. That image is loaded after sending a request to the server - and the server logs your IP address. They can also know that you have opened the email. That's why I always have this off -

It will always ask me if I want it to load remote content.

The worst thing is the one I said above - also JavaScript won't work obviously, so there's not a lot of bad things that can be done.

Yeah - but still the sender can see that you've opened the email. Which for spammers, means that you have an active account and will target you with more spam.
