WEEK 1 (NOVEMBER 1ST - 7TH DAILIES + WEEKLY)
these have been slightly edited for readability purposes

November 1st - Introduce yourself! Today, please introduce yourself to others - even if they're not from your cabin! No points.
November 2nd - Read this article: https://www.imaginationstationtoledo.org/education-resources/diy-activities/elephant-s-toothpaste/ and then, in the comments, explain how elephant's toothpaste works.
November 3rd - Watch this video on the groups of the periodic table: https://www.khanacademy.org/science/hs-chemistry/x2613d8165d88df5e:structure-and-properties-of-matter/x2613d8165d88df5e:the-periodic-table-and-properties-of-elements/v/periodic-table-groups?modal=1 and then choose one group and explain what the elements have in common
November 4th - Watch this video (scratch safe youtube link): https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/V47uiGViibU/ and comment the most suprising thing you learnt/saw in the video!
November 5th - Play this simulator: https://phet.colorado.edu/sims/html/build-an-atom/latest/build-an-atom_en.html and name some of the elements you made.
November 6th - E-Latte needs to make a quick daily about ecology
November 7th - E-Latte needs to make a quick daily about ecology

WEEKLY* - Go onto the San Diego Zoo Website, and head to the live cameras (https://zoo.sandiegozoo.org/live-cams) Choose one or two animals to observe over the week - look at their behaviour and do some research into the animal(s) - then, in a forum post, describe what you saw (I will set up a master forum for this weekly in SaT)

*At the end of the week, leaders could compile all the camper findings into a “factbook” or something - I could do this, or Luna could since this was based off one of Luna's ideas

(This means we still need fun camp activities to fill my cabin's slot (I'm doing something which basically amounts to the same thing as a main daily for my cabin/create palaeontology resources for all cabins) such as switch-a-cabin day, Paige and Jojo - cabin wars, it's yours as I'm not sure how they're going to work and I KNOW you were going to do this last time (From sTaLkInG comments) We also need three more weeklies!)

WEEKLY:
Write down observations from one time of day. Don't do anything too personal like “I passed Matilda's house and saw her light on” do something more like “I passed my friend's house and saw her/his/their light on.” Do this for 3+ days. Once you do those days, finish off with writing down the differences between each day and your predictions. I did this the past week and here is how I did it.

11/1/21

The morning was crisp. The echoing of cars moving fast on the highway rung through the air. A train blows its whistle miles away. Frost had settled over the grass. Most of the trees still had leaves on them because of the slow start to fall. The colors weren’t all that vibrant because of the absurd amount of rain. I get to the bus stop and close my eyes, trying to hear the call of any animal. When you deactivate one of your senses the other ones work better, or at least I think, I forget where I read that. I heard the quiet, sharp call of a bird. Shortly after, the bus comes. I got on, I noticed the condensation on the windows. I wipe it off with my jacket sleeve. I gazed out, trying to spot any wildlife. I sighed, none. Our bus pulled into the school. I saw a group of birds.

11/2/21

It was Election Day so my family and I left at 7AM to vote and eat breakfast. It was so cold out (in the 30s ((Fahrenheit))) so I wore my winter coat. The ground was frosted again. It was a cloudy sunrise but by 9am it was a clear sky. The weather is still in the 40s (Fahrenheit). The smell a fall is in the air

11/3/21

It was literally freezing outside. Frost covered rooftops and the grass. A dog barked in the distance. A leaf tumbled off a tree and onto the ground. A rustling comes from the trail. I betted if I went to the sledding hill right at that moment I could go down it easily even though there was no snow. Condensation again covered my bus window. I have a feeling winter is just around the corner!

11/4/21

I woke up really late so I didn’t make the bus. I had to get driven. My mom parks her car outside so the windows were frosted over. She used button to spray a solution on the main window (it was mainly water) and they used her windshield wipers to wipe it away. The solution frosted up immediately into what looked like large snowflakes. Speaking of snowflakes, the outside of the car looked like a snowflake enlarged itself and plopped it on the exterior of my mom’s car. Frost still covered the grass though I left 10 minutes later than I usually do. When I stepped out of the car, I saw my breath as I breathe out.

DIFFERENCES
The first 2 days I couldn’t see my breath unlike the second two days. The first day I saw wildlife while I didn’t really see wildlife other two days.

PREDICTIONS MADE
- Animals are starting to hibernate or migrate.
- It is getting colder because there is less sunlight shining on the northern hemisphere
- Winter is coming!

You can use any method of collecting the data (bullet points, paragraphs, etc.)

here's an idea for next week's weekly:

This week, we encourage you to do some research into each cabin's science! Spend *at least* 120 minutes (2 hours, 20 minutes per science - AT LEAST) researching the following sciences: Astronomy, Botany, Chemistry, Ecology, Palaeontology and Zoology.

Please write a paragraph using proper sentences about what you discovered, for each science. Please try to find something not obvious, but something more obscure. For example, if you were doing Astronomy, don't just say “astronomy is about looking at the stars and finding exoplanets”, but something more like “Astronomy is the science that studies the history of our universe. A certain field of Astronomy called Cosmology studies the age of the universe and how the universe began.”

Some BBCode is below for formatting, if you wish to use it.
[quote][b]Astronomy[/b]
*insert*[/quote]
[quote][b]Botany[/b]
*insert*[/quote]
[quote][b]Chemistry[/b]
*insert*[/quote]
[quote][b]Ecology[/b]
*insert*[/quote]
[quote][b]Palaeontology[/b]
*insert*[/quote]
[quote][b]Zoology[/b]
*insert*[/quote]

This weekly is worth *points*

we'll use the “oceans” theme for the main memory book pages, otherwise we theme it around the science
