Oh, thought it was everywhere, weird. But why exactly would this benefit Scratch? It’s not 100% a social platform.Yes, I also appreciate this idea, but once the reply limit's reached, it could show all followers something like:I thought it would benefit Scratch the same way having a follow button on discussion forums does, allowing people to avoid checking the same thread really often, which makes a lot of requests to the servers when they can instead wait for their messages to show a 1.
On the followed comment tread what is 1+1?, the reply limit has been reached. The tread will now be unfollowed. And then they would get no more notifications for that particular comment thread.
UPDATE AT 6:38 P.M. (select all to read) KING OF THE PAGE!!!

They could add an option to limit notifications, so for example, you could set it to a limit of 3 notifications/hour.However, I think you should also be able to follow a user's comment section (If this is already a feature, please tell me.)That might be nice. A potential problem with it, is that profile comment sections usually get more comments than a single thread does, so if you check often, you'll get a lot of notifications.

If this wasn't already established, the notifications will work the same way forum notifications do: it only notifies you when there's comments you haven't seen yet, if you haven't clicked on that notification within the past 24 hours, it won't notify you again.

I had an idea, inspired by the forums. What if we could follow a comment thread? When you follow a comment thread, you would receive notifications whenever someone replied to anyone on the thread, regardless of who they were replying to.
This would be helpful in certain cases, like if you wanted to keep tabs on conversations about your comment, even if they weren't replying to you directly.
And, some people might make comment threads on their profiles to give their followers updates, so you could perhaps follow a thread that would contain these updates.

Please don't quote the OP, bump a topic before it leaves the first page, or say you support without stating a reason.

Hm - it's an interesting idea. If you reply to a comment, don't you already get notifications (I'm unsure, I generally steer away from Scratch comments).

]You can't unfollow users in your messages page, you can't un love and un favorite projects in your messages page, you can't unfollow discussion topics in your messages page, so why are comment threads any different? Instead, there should be a dedicated page for comment threads, that lists all your followed threads, and allows you to unfollow them easily. The messages page is for messages, not un following.yeah where the threads are where you can easily unfollow is a good idea, but bolded, those do not give you messages and you cannot be spammed by them, so those are different
typing in be on keyboard is so hard..this is why mobile is best, sorry for any typos
but support, say an RP or suggestions on someones project your interested in reading, but don't feel like getting/shouldn't get involved in, could be helpful
also arguments just to look at funny random stuff at @griffpatch 's profile

support. you just get the notification that something happened in the forum, and nothing specific.
