Unsupported Browsers Error

I'm trying to play some grapple game but it says my browser isn't supported by Scratch. My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.15.7, Opera GX 80.0.4170.91, No Flash version detected
It only does that for some projects. Can someone tell me why isn't Opera GX supported?

OperaGX probably doesn't have the same plugins or features as chrome or safari that allows scratch to run. It could possibly not allow the cloud variables to update as it has a built in VPN.

Maybe it doesn't support extensions such as pen?

I am able to use Pen on any project I create. Every extension can be used except the ones that require a machine like Lego

Opera and its derivatives use Chromium's Blink engine to render pages, so there's absolutely no reason it shouldn't work.

Well, I'm not sure why it's not working, but you can still use chrome without a problem, right?

Have you been able to run or edit projects this browser before?
Does webGL work for you?

I think this is the issue. Opera GX is not officially supported so it may work on some occasions but on others may no.

I love how in the image it specifies what browsers are supported and you continue to use one that isn't supported. As EmThunder said above, it'll work sometimes. Try using a browser that is supported. Opera GX is for gamerz not Scratch.

OP says other browsers aren't as smooth and would prefer to use Opera GX. Still, it's a viable workaround.

Whatever you do, don't switch to Chrome. It's basically Google's spyware program. Instead, try using Edge, Safari, or Firefox.

The forums are made with a different framework (django) than 3.0 pages (react), so it's no surprise you can use it. I am on an Apple Watch, and the forums work fine.

The system requirements are only for viewing and editing projects.

Maybe try switching the user agent? As far as I know Opera is based on the same thing as Chromium so it might be a quick Band-Aid fix.

Opera is based on chromium, which is what Google Chrome is based off of. So logically, if they were to change their user agent to look like chrome, the scratch website might work.
