“You're tearing us apart,” you protest, trying hard to stop the tears from dripping down your cheeks. " It can't be the only way. You could have kept us together. Kept ALL families together. “
Banana looks at you, giving you a sad smile. ”We're trying, (y/n) and that's better than nothing, isn't it?“
You gulp loudly, and a single tear slides out of the corner of your eye, and you make no effort to hide it. You slip against the wall, and onto the carpet, wrapping your arms around your knees, and burying your face in your hoodie. For a while, no-one says anything. Then it's General Aria who speaks first.
”We're sorry, we really are,“ she says, squatting down so that she's at your level, and cautiously resting a hand on your shoulder. You make no attempt to shrug it off, and she looks a little relieved.
”If this all goes to plan, you'll be together again soon, I promise." Her voice is filled with emotion, and when you look up, she looks as if she is trying not to cry as well.

you stare at the control panel again thinking of your family. The light of the panel begins to hurt your eyes and you lift your gaze. You stand up and wipe away your tears. A little anger still burns in your chest but as you look around at everyone's kind smiles it fades. As you turn away, Misty offers you a seat. “We will fix this” she says softly and you nod in thanks.

“what did they want?” you ask cautiously, remembering the people who abducted you. “Information of some sort, we didn’t have time to check” Banana answers and then turns away to look at the control panel. Everyone snaps their head to look over at it so you shift your gaze to look at it as well. Some of the green and orange buttons flash and then glow red.

“But, what were they~ the creatures that- that imprisoned me?” you ask shakily.

“Those,” Banna sighs, as she strides over to the control panel worriedly, “were Helliopes. Horrible creatures. They love causing pain and despair and don't care about anyone but themselves. Luckily we managed to get you before they began extracting information,” she adds with a shudder.

“W-why are the buttons flashing?” you ask.

“I'm checking now,” Banana replied as she inspected the flashing buttons.

“The Helliopes always have bad intentions. And it's our job to stop them. They tend to be the source of all the chaos on other planets, so it would be amazing to wipe them out for good.” Aria mentioned.

“Guys?” Banana calls, her voice strained with anxiety. They all hurry over to her and she faces them, her eyes full of fear. “This isn't good.”

“What’s not good?” you ask, stumbling to your feet and groping towards them. Your legs shake with fear, and as you try to see the projection that’s now popped up on the console of the main panel, they block you from seeing it.

“Nothing to worry about, (insert main character’s name here). Everything’s under control,” Lieutenant Misty tries to assure you, though her voice betrays what she’s trying to tell you.

“It doesn’t seem like it,” you protest. “And what’s being projected? Why are you blocking it?”

Lieutenant Misty gives an obviously strained and forced smile. “Nothing, (insert main character’s name here). Nothing to worry about. Banana,” she says suddenly and rather sharply. “Why don’t you lead (insert main character’s name here) to her new room? She seems tired. Maybe some rest will clear her head.”

“My head doesn’t need clearing,” you snap. “And I don’t want to rest! Let me see what you’re hiding!” you shoot your hand out, trying to shove your way past them, but Banana catches your arm in a firm grip.

“Please, (insert main character’s name here). Don’t you trust us?” she whispers, looking at you with an intensity in her eyes that makes you squirm a little. “Everything’s alright. Come on, let me bring you to your room. You really do need to rest. You’ve been through so much from the past twenty-four hours—it’s only right that you allow your body time to relax and recharge.”

“But—”

Banana tightens her grip on your arm. “Please,” she whispers again. “It’s the least we can do for you.”

After a few more moments of hesitation you give in, allowing Banana to lead you out of the room. Once the doors seal behind you and once you’re in the shining black halls, Banana stops abruptly. “Look,” she says, “I’m not supposed to be telling you any of this, and I’ll probably get in trouble for doing this, but…” she shakes her head, glancing at you then flicking her eyes away, resuming her brisk pace. “Earth isn’t doing so well. And… it’s getting worse. A lot worse.”

You want to break down and cry. But you know that would prove everyone else right. And you don't want to cry in front of banana. You nod slowly and she gives you a tired smile.

You stay silent as you are led to your room and try not to look upset. Once inside you look around in awe it is beautiful. For a moment you forget about all your problems and almost smile but the feeling of wonder slips away leaving you in despair. You turn to a banana and thank her. She nods and briefly explains the room to you. “If you need anything we are right down the hall, try to get some sleep though” she says quietly as she leaves the room.

You wait until the sound of her footsteps disappear and slide into your bed as you begin to cry silently.

As you drift into sleep you begin to have horrible nightmares, seeing your family being hurt and dead, while you stood a distance away trying to get to them, but an invisible barricade blocked your path. You're rooted to the spot and all you can do is watch as they suffer, and somehow it's all your fault. Tears pour down your face and you sob uncontrollably as you cry out for them. But no sound comes out. Then the dream began to change and it looked like you saw them from a long dark tunnel, getting farther and farther away, smaller…and smaller. Their screams fade away until silence. Silence. Unnatural silence. You know this is wrong…this isn't just a dream anymore. You try moving around, but everything is pitch black and deathly quiet. You begin to hear a terrible high-pitched single note ringing through the darkness, it won't go away. It's getting louder… when will it end…it's unbearable…it keeps going until suddenly…

Your eyes snap open. You're standing in the room with Aria, Misty, and Banana around you, all in threatening poses, staring at you in alarm.

“Am I speaking to (insert your name)?” Aria asks sharply.

You stop panting. “W-what do you mean?” you ask, confused at the question. Of course, you were yourself. Weren't you?

“I think it's her,” Banana says, relaxing. The other two hesitate, then drop their aggressive appearances.

“What's going on?” you ask.

“You got out of bed and came to us, and started speaking in a completely different voice,” Misty said worriedly. “You- you said ‘we know you’re here. We will find you, there's nowhere to run, the galaxy will be ours'…”

You stared at them. “But I was sleeping the entire time!” You retort, your face going pale.

“We think… we think you were being controlled. Did anything happen while you were asleep?” Aria asks.

“Um, well I was having a dream, then suddenly everything went completely silent and it was pitch black, it didn't feel right…” you respond nervously.

The three exchange worried looks.

“(Insert your name), when the Helliopes were holding you captive, did they put anything inside of you?” Misty asks urgently.

Your eyes widen as you remember a Helliope had injected you with something, and you quickly tell them.

“I'm sorry to say…but I think whatever they put inside of you, it looks like they can now possess or control you…” Aria says deflatedly.

You gasp in fear and shock.

The girls tell you to get back to sleep, maybe you will feel better. But you were just collapsed, someone controlling you wasn’t the best thing ever…

You wake up and noticed you ended up crying to sleep. You get off from bed, and walk out of the room. You don’t really know what to do now, you didn’t want to go up with the others, except Banana. For some reason you trusted her, maybe it was the fact that you knew she was like you. She didn’t told you, but the look in her face made it obvious. She missed her family. At the end, you decided to go up to her, so you looked for her quarters and find a door that said “Banana Boss”. You knocked and heard a slight “Come in”, so you pushed the door and entered.

“(y/n)? What are you doing here? Do you need anything?” she asks as she cleans some tears from her eyes, you knew she was trying to hide that.
“No, not at all. I just needed someone to talk.” You answered
“Oh! Well, what do you want to talk about?”
“Well, I wanted to ask you something.. We’re you also taken away from your family? you asked, but when you saw her sad face you added, “You don’t have to answer, if you don’t feel like it!”
“Well, let me tell you my story…”

“It all began last year when Earth first was at its end. I… I have no family, they died when I was 12. But I was independent and took care of myself. Aria, Misty, and LJ had just announced that they would save us, as long as we gathered crystals for them. So I searched for these crystals, and after a bit, I managed to find a small shard of one. I stuffed it in my pocket gleefully, when the same thing happened to me that happened to you, (insert your name). I was knocked out and when I awoke I was in a massive ship with strange creatures observing and examining me. It was terrible. Horrifying… I- eventually, after they did things, learned things about us humans, and our bodies, they placed me in a hard glass chamber, bounded by chains for their kind to pass by and look at…like I was an animal… They didn't even give me water or food, they just expected me to die eventually. It was freezing cold inside my prison…as if they were preserving me… and I knew they wanted me to suffer, but they'd probably keep me alive if they ever wanted to study me again. So there I was, curled up on the cold metallic floor of my cell, my skin icy, my breath misted, waiting for the end of this pain. I was thoroughly depressed. I drifted into probably my last sleep. But then I was awoken, and who was there before me? None other than Aria. No time to explain, she told me, and she led me out of my chamber. And we escaped. She explained who she was and that she was able to find me by the power emitting from the crystal I had. She said she had found it odd that there was a crystal on a Helliope ship (which she explained were the awful creatures) and had gone to investigate. I explained my side of the story, how I had gotten there, what they did. We arrived at their base. She comforted me and said that she was honestly impressed by my bravery and skill. We then arrived at their base, and I dwelled among them for a while until recovered. But then, she offered me to live with her, Misty, and LJ.” Banana smiled. “And I accepted. Now, as you know, I'm also a spy on Earth for them. And that's my story.”

You gaped at her, not sure how to react. You felt sorry that Banana had had to go through the things mentioned, but you also felt a surge of excitement that you, a normal human, being could possibly live with these kind and amazing people. These thoughts all rushed through your head.

Banana looked sympathetically at you. “I know, it's a lot to take in, I'll leave you to your thoughts. Nice chatting with you though,” she said with that same brilliant smile.

You nodded. “Thanks for telling me about this, I'll be off now. Seeya,” and you exited the room.

You turn away you head the way to your room but you must have made a mistake. You see a room with a big door. You push it open. It is not your room. It is a garden. “(insert your name here extending the last letter ), (insert your name here extending the last letter )” You turn around but no one is there. Suddenly LJ pulls you out. “Why did you go in there. You shouldn't go in there.” she scolded. “But I heard a voice. ” you protest

“Voice or no voice. You can't go in there.” LJ says. “promise me, okay?” “Ok, I promise.”

You walk back to your bed, your head aching with everything that's happened today. In the other room, you can hear Aria and Misty having a heated discussion about the flashing buttons on the control panel and feel a pang of worry for your family. You roll over in bed, trying to clear the bad thoughts that popped into your head. Your main concern is how the Helliopes could be controlling you, with the strange liquid they injected into your bloodstream. You realize how much of a danger you are to your new friends…what if you get possessed again, and you hurt someone? You could reveal the location they were in and hand it over to the Helliopes…or you could attack someone and they wouldn't want to hurt you or defend themselves. Or what if the Helliopes force you to return back to them, so they can finish their operation and extricate the “information”? You slightly begin to shake, hating and dreading the thought that you could return to that seat, strapped down and helpless, waiting for the pain you knew they wouldn't spare you from. You sit up, knowing you'd never fall asleep. All's quiet. You slowly get to your feet, making a decision. You wouldn't be a danger to Aria, Misty, LJ, and Banana. You'll leave, and get as far away as you can from anyone. Deep down inside, you know this isn't a good choice. But you ignored the small feeling. For this was one of those moments when you cared so much about your friends and family that you can make crazy decisions. You wrench the door open and walk gently across the dark corridor, your footsteps echoing dimly. You pause, looking around, then see a sign pointing the way towards escape pods. You continue that way and end up in a circular, cool silver room. You approach one of the walls where an escape pod is planted and climb inside. Your eyes wander around, taking in the details of the small ship. It's was round, with dark pale blue seats on the left and right, and a control panel in between them, containing a steering wheel and confusing buttons and triggers. A whole side of the pod was made of hard glass. You sit down, determined to figure out how to drive the shuttle even if it takes all night.

“You're not leaving.”

The voice spoke out, making you jump and spin your head towards the speaker. It was Misty, looking tired and weary, but upset.

“You don't understand,' you cry back. ”I have to, it's for your own safety! I'm dangerous!“

Misty walks towards you, her eyes full of sadness. ”We can help you, we'll figure this out, but you're not leaving.“

”You can't stop me,“ you reply, your eyes narrowing.

”I have to,“ she says.

”Stop!“ you yell, as she approaches you. ”If you get closer I'll- I'll kill myself!“

Tears pour down your face, and you stare at Misty, waiting for her move. Misty frowns, tears welling up in her eyes.

”I'm sorry, it's for your own good," she whispers, raising her hand and pointing it at you. The next moment your consciousness is knocked out of you.

stop General Aria said . she clapped her hands a green light appear that lifts you up -

“I'm sorry Misty had to stun you, but you can't go running off like that!” General Aria says sternly. “Do you know what could've happened to you? You're staying here with us, where you're safe.”

You try to sit up, but find you are too weak. “I may be safe, but you aren't!” you retort.

Aria sighed, ignoring your reply. “We're going to help you, we're going to try and get the foreign substance that's controlling you out of your system.”

You again try to sit up, but this time realize they had a single strap around your chest, holding you tightly to the bed, and your wrists fastened on the walls.

“What's this for?” you ask heatedly, anger bubbling in your chest.

“So that you don't try and run off again,” Aria replies, her eyes narrowed. "I'm sorry to have to this, but it's for your own good.“

”You're protecting me by imprisoning me?!“ you yell back, enraged.

”You're being stupid, if we don't keep you in one place you'll end up killing yourself. And I won't have that. The doctor will attempt to remove the substance injected into you. Good day.“

And with that, Aria left the room. The unknown doctor followed behind.

Your body slackens in defeat and you clench your fists angrily. This is crazy! You have to escape somehow.

But then the doctor re-enters the room. ”Sorry I have to do this, but it's General Aria's orders," he said with a frown.

Then the doctor places a hand on your thrashing body, holding you still and forcing a mask onto your mouth. Gas hisses out and your eyes immediately droop, you become groggy and then fall asleep. Then the doctor begins his operation.

When you next wake, you have only hazy memories of you argument with Misty and Aria. All you can think is that you could hurt everyone, and that you couldn't be here…
You rub your tired eyes, and open them cautiously, in case the doctor had not yet finished the operation. Still sleepy, you blink twice, and see Banana, Aria, Misty Lj, and the Doctor staring down at you, looks of concern spread across all of their faces. Then, Banana's face cracked into a wide smile, showing her pearly white teeth.
“(Y/n)!! I'm so glad you woke, we were really afraid that you were dyin-”
“That's enough, ” General Aria said sharply, glaring at Banana and asserting her authority. “You wouldn't have died, Banana's overacting, that's all…” She said, re-assuring you.
“Did ,,, d-did the operation go well?” You ask, your voice trembling as you remember why you are strapped to yet another bed, and your insides turning back in to jelly.You take a deep breath, almost not wanting to know the answer-
The doctor opened his mouth to speak, but LJ cut across him.
“We think so, the doctor appears to have removed most of the liquid in your blood, although a few drop may remain.” She answered, her voice sounding caring and relieved.
“They couldn't cause you any harm though, if there is a little bit of the liquid from the syringe remaining.” The doctor said, tutting at LJ, who looked a little embarrassed. “The creatures can't posses you any longer, we hope.” His voice is bright and cheery, but his smile does not reach his eyes, and you wonder if he has kept something from General Aria, Banana Boss, the two Lieutenant's and of course you…
You try to smile gratefully at him, but the words ring in your head… forming many doubts and worries.

You follow LJ all the way back to your room, there she gives you some food and new clothes. When you finish changing yourself, you go to Lg who was talking with Banana next to your bed.

“Wow (y/n) You look just like one of us!” Banana exclaims happily
“I know. But why is that?” You say seriously, right now you weren’t exactly happy with them. And you still had some questions.
“Because now you’re one of us (y/n).” General Aria answered, as she entered the room. She walks towards you and signals you to seat on the couch. You seat and they all look at you. You didn’t know what’s going on, but they were probably waiting for Misty, so they could tell you something. You waited and when Misty appeared General Aria started talking.

“(Y/n)..” Aria said slowly “We have news for you…”
“News? What news?” You ask confused. And as you asked that their faces turn serious and sad. “What’s going on?

General Aria sighs and signals Banana to tell you, she knows you trust her more. But this didn’t make you feel better, now you know this couldn’t be good news…

“What is happening?! Tell me!” You demand scared of what the news could be.
“Oh (y/n)…” Banana says softly, you see a tear in her eye. “I’m so sorry! We were checking on Earth and received a dead alert…”
“What?! Who…?”
“I’m sorry! But… (y/n).. your parents are dead…”
“No…. NO!” You yell shocked, with tears in your eyes, you couldn’t believe it. “This can’t be happening! NO! No…”

Then a suddenly you get a thought . you get but slip then you sit back in your bed you the sheet over you . you breath heavily and start weeping again . You slowly stop weeping and rubbing your eyes you slowly ask banana

Well umm .banana hesitates . But then a sudden smoke fills the room .

RUN !!! LG said .

Everyone begins coughing and running out of the room, only to find more thick smoke. Your eyes begin to water and you lose track of the others.

“GUYS?!” you yell, coughing repeatedly.

Somewhere in the distance, you hear a strangled yelp and you're almost certain it was Banana.

“HELLO? BANANA IS THAT YOU?” you call, choking on smoke, running to the source of the sound.

As you reach there you find Banana lying unevenly on the floor unconscious, Helliopes beginning to drag her away. You're about to cry out when a Helliope grabs you, thrusting a fist at your head. Everything goes dark and you fall to the ground unconscious.

You gain consciousness just in time to see the Helliopes forcing you onto the same dentist seat from before. You struggle weakly and thrash around but they bound your ankles, wrists, and neck and all you can do is squirm.

“Thought you could run away, did you?” One of them says in a cruel sing-song voice. “But we'll always get what we want, which is this sweet, sweet information,” she said, stroking your head with a long cold finger.

“Let! Me! Go!” you shout, squirming as much as you could.

“Not until we're through with you~” the Helliope replied in the same voice, flashing a torturous smile at you as she stuffed a cloth in your mouth.

The Helliopes present start putting gloves on and choosing instruments from the table. One of them turns the monitor on. It shows your heartbeat, pounding faster and faster as the Helliopes closed in around you. The one inspecting the monitor chuckles harshly.

“Scared?” he asks mockingly.

You glance around the room frantically, seeing Banana, still unconscious on the floor.

Before the Helliopes start operating on you, one asks a question.

“You're wearing that same outfit that General Aria would wear, you've been with, them,” he says disgustedly. “So where are they?”

“Right behind ya,” a voice says.

The Helliopes all spin around to find themselves face to face with General Aria, Lieutenant Misty, and LJ, hands all raised and pointed at them, all seething with rage.

“You're going to let her go,” Aria says, her voice cutting through the air like a whip.

Misty had kneeled down to inspect Banana for any injuries. When she found none, she pulled Banana off the floor and held her over her own shoulders.

“And if we don't?” the sing-song voiced Helliope sneered.

Aria rose an eyebrow.

The next second blasts exploded through the air and the Helliopes went out like a light.

“They really are so stupid sometimes,” LJ remarked as she glided over to you, removing your bonds.

You take the cloth out of your mouth, sighing in relief.

“Th-thanks guys, I was really worried there for a sec,” you said.

“No problem, now let's get out of here.” Misty replies.

You follow the others back to a vehicle. You get into the back seat as Aria slips into the front seat and Misty puts Banana down next to you.
“We're going back now,” LJ says, getting into the passenger seat. She glances at Banana worried and looks back at you. “Try to get some rest, it's going to be a long ride.”
You nod and stare out the window. The stars start to blur and you slip into a deep sleep.

You wake up, feeling groggy. You try to recollect what happened the day before. Your memory seemed foggy. There was- there was smoke. A lot of smoke. The Helliopes. Oh no. Banana, you remember. Is she okay? There was something you forgot. Something important. You put your hand on your head, trying to remember. ‘Why do I keep forgetting things?’ you question, frustrated.
LJ peeks her head in. “Oh! (y/n), you're awake!” she says, looking startled.
“Um.. yeah. Why are you so surprised?” you ask.
“You've been asleep for about half the day,” she responds. “I'll go get the others!” LJ rushes out.
Aria walks in walks in with Misty and LJ following her. Banana was missing.
“Where's Banana?” you ask.
“She's still out.” Aria answers. “The Helliopes got her good. Are you okay?”
“I'm feeling fine,” you say. There's still something-
“ARIA! Aria, what happened to my siblings?” you exclaim.

“Err, perhaps you're not ready for that quite yet,” she says. with a nervous glance to LJ.
“Of course I am!” you say with a huff.
“(y/n), you have to understand,” LJ says with a soothing tone. “We're trying to protect you.”
“I know that, but can you at least tell my about my siblings?” you shout in frustration.
She glances up at General Aria, and after a moment of hesitation, she reluctantly nods.
