I think you cannot do this because scratch want other scratcher to remix the project. I'm sorry to say that you cannot remix one of your own projects yourself.

I tried to use inspect element, but it just does the same function as see inside or doesn't do anything at all, depending on where I put it. Maybe someone who's better at using inspect element knows how, but it worked for following myself so maybe it's just something with remixing? Idk.

You can't. The closest thing is backpacking all the sprites and moving them to a new project.

There is a way to do remix your own project.
But you need to
-Have 2 accounts.
-Have a browser which lets you take 3 tabs a time.
.
Here;s how you can do it
.
sign in to your 2nd account
.
open the original account but don't sign out.
.
open the original project u wanna remix
.
go to a new tab! then go to scratch.
.
you'll see your 2nd account as a top. so you need to ~SIGN OUT~ and sign in to your original account.
But do never reload the project tab.
.
then go to the project tab and click remix without reloading.
.
then after you remix, the server will be scratching its head *L-O-L*
.
reload the page.
.
then you'll see ur account. so go to ‘My Stuff’ or this link in a new tab MY STUFF LINK (Drag this link to a new tab)
.
then click the last project which you remixed.
.
then do anything on it and share it.
.
COMPLETED!
.
LOL I typed the all informations.
I know many other things on scratch, please contact me if you have any doubts about scratch here's my profile which you can contact : Hello3Rules_Profile

Thank-you! Have a nice day!

How can I remix one of my own projects without using a different account?

So it's impossible without multiple accounts?

Yes I know what the title says. So rather than just saying “no”, I explained why.

You could use the File-Copy option from within the editor to make a new version of your project - but it wouldn't show up as a remix.
