My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 10895.10.0, Chrome 69.0.3497.21, Flash 30.0 (release 0)

I started creating this game at the end of last month: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/235108968/

Now, ever since the 3.0 beta was released, it keeps crashing in both editor and player mode. Not all games have been crashing, in fact I played a guinea pig salon game today as a test. No, it has NOTHING to do with the script ammount or complexity. I looked at a project I made that literally had like very few simple scripts and it flashed black and white several times, this hasn't just happened in the player either it has also happened in the editor too when I press the green flag, or when I switch costumes.

This bug was REALLY difficult to screenshot, I had to spam the screenshot button combo, so i hope it helps.

PLEASE don't tell me that it has to do with my chromebook, i'd hate to be unable to use scratch.mit.edu especially now that i just got back into it ;-; This is literally the only FUN thing that works, most google apps dont work, or are being updated to the point where they aren't compatible.
Please please please FIX it

I don't think that it has to do anything to do with that u using a Chromebook. I have a Chromebook for school and I have never had any issues with Scratch.

If u keep flash and chrome up to date the issue should probably go away.
It shouldn't be any issues when Scratch 3.0 comes out since it is not using flash.
Hope your problem goes away.

When I used Scratch on my friends computer, it was flashing black and white too. And his computer was getting quite old.
My hypothesis is that you have an old computer.
If you don't have an old computer, I can't help with that, sorry.

It could be something to do with the backdrops set to stage if you were creating a project if not its just the computer lol
