A Switch, an Ethernet adapter, and a 32GB microSD card can be bought for less than the Switch OLED. If you mainly play docked then get those instead.

I'd say that this is one of the biggest disappointments in tech for 2021. It's up there with the Apple Watch Series 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. That's pretty bad.

The Nintendo Switch – OLED model is available! Albeit probably out of stock a few times over.

Maybe I'll decide to get it… sometime.

£300 non 4K console(with little improvements from the normal Nintendo switch )+paid online+nes controller to play nes games via said paid online even you can just play with the joycons+SNES controller to play SNES games via paid online+Add on subscription for paid online to play n64 and Sega megadrive (just get sega megadrive classics for the switch it has more games and it’s not locked behind a £25+ subscription)+sega megadrive controller to play sega megadrive games via add on for paid online+N64 controller to n64 games via add on for paid online=Waste of money since you need to buy games for the dang thing only a Nintendo fanboy/fangirl would play for all of that and say “not everything is free” doesn’t mean this if this were any other company their headquarters would be raided but its Nintendo they get away with EVERYTHING because people played animal crossing as a 5 year old and now they will buy anything with the Nintendo label slapped on it.the switch OLED is a waste,all I need are new joycons(old ones don’t work)or perhaps just a pro controller or repair for them since the price for joycons are too high £70 that’s more than a whole game.the OLED model is useless and not needed, I definitely understand anger about Xbox series x or PlayStation 5 scalping since that’s just scummy and those are next gen consoles with 4K graphics and it’s been nearly a year and the consoles are still unobtainable but the switch OLED bud most scalpers scalping these just couldn’t secure their ps5s or Xboxes with their illegal bots plus if you have normal switch then you’re good so ignore the switch OLED scalping.
