I see no reason why people use Chrome if Edge is basically “Chrome, but better”.

I see no reason why people use Chrome if Edge is basically “Chrome, but better”.Not just Edge – you could say this about almost any Chromium fork. I think people just use Chrome because everyone else does and because of Google's advertisements.

Edge is better than Chrome, but I have no clue why people prefer Google Chrome over a Chromium fork (like Edge) or chromium itself

When tested on WebXPRT 3, Chrome and Edge were run through six tests replicating real-world conditions, which in particular, test the browsers’ HTML5 and JavaScript performance. Edge won by a narrow margin scoring 76 against Chrome’s 73. This was primarily due to Edge winning out in the OCR Scan and Encrypt Notes tests.
Based on a test in which six pages were loaded on each browser, Edge used 665MB of RAM while Chrome used 1.4 GB

Trying to defend edge? well, Chrome is the BEST protected website proof Fire Fox Website Fire Fox is agreeing with me! and Yes Edge is better safer than this but, it is slow edge yes very slow another link check this too!! and that is the safe battle with edge, chrome and fire fox and this includes every thing useful stuff so yep!!

Microsoft is even WORSE with their web browser. They FORCE it on you when using Windows. They try SO HARD to make you use bing. They are making it HARDER to switch to another browser. UGH trash trash. Not to mention it ALSO collects data more or less than chrome. I

When comparing Edge to other browsers, don't forget that sources made before January 2020 are talking about the old Edge, which wasn't based on Chromium.
