Update on Database Work

Hi folks!

We’re planning to continue our database work through October. See the original announcement for more information here: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/537386/

We have completed the work on profile comments and will move on to projects and studios next. We plan to keep comments turned on during the rest of this work, but may temporarily turn them off if needed. Our hope is you won’t notice anything happening, but wanted to let you know just in case we do need to turn comments off temporarily for a few hours.

Just a reminder that this work does not change the way the commenting system works, just how the data is stored. Once we’ve finished, comments should work exactly as they did before.

Also, are you doing project and studio comments when the work is done, or is it just profile comments this time?
