i think they meant that it was just an old mockup or something like that. - i don't think photo editing software can accidently add a new button because of a bug

We don't know. The ST doesn't really reveal their plans, rather we just hear about stuff when it's publicly in development.

I’m pretty sure that just means tests for profile comments. I feel like if profile pages were being migrated soon, we would be seeing PRs starting to add wireframe features, similar to when they migrated the studio pages.
