Connecting a micro:bit to an iPad
Hello,
So I got a micro:bit a few days ago. It’s really nice, and I’ve been using it with the micro:bit coding app.
But I prefer scratch. Now, as far as I see because there is no scratch app on iOS (I don’t know why, it’s really annoying) I can’t seem to find any way to connect. Thanks, bye!

You need to install Scratch Link and run it while you are trying to connect a mirco:bit and also enable bluetooth at the same time to connect the mirco:bit to the main website.

Scrub Web Browser allows you to use the micro:bit with Scratch on your iPad.

Apparently ScratchUP app can do this, has anyone ever tested if it works ? I don't want to pay if this is a joke. It is an offline app so if it works that would be great.

Ok, I fell for it. I tested the ScratchUP app. It works well. I can also play with my micro: bit v2 with all inputs and outputs !

That app looks extremely shady. And the trailer was made in iMovie.
I doubt you actually bought the app just for this. I’d rather not pay for a virus, or just scratch.

You may be right but this app works well. In doubt, I uninstalled it. I will wait for a more official app.

You can try Scrub. Hello,
So I got a micro:bit a few days ago. It’s really nice, and I’ve been using it with the micro:bit coding app.
But I prefer scratch. Now, as far as I see because there is no scratch app on iOS (I don’t know why, it’s really annoying) I can’t seem to find any way to connect. Thanks, bye!
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/scrub-web-browser/id1569777095
I tried it for some of my students, it worked well however sometimes the browser would hang or the sound function would stop working.
You don't need to install Scratch Link if you use Scrub.
According to Scratch's website, currently Scratch-Microbit only supports Windows, Mac, Chomebook, Andriod Scratch App but not Ipad..
