No support. It would just really put emphasis on the fame aspect of scratch and could discourage people from just creating what they want, and adding more pressure on creating stuff the community likes.

No support. Unlike followers, which are a way to show support and keep up to date with a user's projects, the total amount of views serves no educational purpose and is only for fame. Just use ScratchStats.

Except with users that have over 2500 projects, you can see this data on scratchstats.com. For example, you have 16.8k total views, I have 9.1k (soon to change, yay getting curated later today), and griffpatch has 117.5m.

There would be lots of boasting, and griffpatch's number would be 1 000 000 000…

No support, it could turn into a popularity contest. Also, this is possible via the Scratch Stats website.

No support. This puts emphasis on popularity, which is not the purpose of scratch. If you really want to see all your views added up, use Scratch Stats.
