Really, these shops in the mockups are not that different from studios.

Really, these shops in the mockups are not that different from studios.I don't think that they had much to work with.

Shops Should Be Intergrated Into Scratch
I'm just wondering: Is this a suggestion to add “Shops” to the navigation bar which links to the requests forum?

Shops should be in the scratch Navbar, without forums, where you can get things like banners, intros too.

If this does get implemented, wouldn't it take over the ideas tab?
If then, no support. The ideas tab is easy to see and new scratchers are able to find an idea as soon as they join.

No support, this would clog up the navigation bar, and make the search bar very small.

Not a bad idea, but I think it might make clutter.

I am neutral on this one. “Shop” sounds like something where you have to pay money and can be confusing for users that are new to Scratch. Also, what would happen to the requests forum and the shops in there? If the Scratch Team somehow move all the topics there, the requests forum will simply become another "open source projects" forum, but more deserted.

Isn't this rejected?
8.7 Digital currency or Scratch achievements
Some form of digital currency which allows you to “buy” Scratch features (with real or fake money) would not really benefit the educational value of Scratch; after all, there is not really anything that you can buy. While there could be features that are only unlockable via digital currency, this does not really contribute to Scratch's purpose of being a programming language available for everyone. However, you can make digital currency in your own projects, if you like. A very good detailed analysis for why digital currency should not be on Scratch can be found on this post.

Isn't this rejected?Shops in Scratch usually refer to something where you ask for a service, asset, etc. and are usually not paid for with some sort of currency.8.7 Digital currency or Scratch achievements
