Why do people remix my project from 1.6 to 2.3?

[Removed - please don't “name and shame”] has been remixing my projects and for run game he went from 1.6.5 to 2.0!
It sort of annoys me. He just wants it to look better

The remixing system is a core part of Scratch, and it means that anyone can make changes to a project if they like, as long as they give credit. I'm afraid I don't exactly understand what you mean though - what problem do you have with someone remixing your project? (Don't mention names, please - it just stirs up drama and doesn't solve anything.)

Numbering schemes don't work like decimal numbers - Scratch went from 1.4 to 2.0, after all! It's just representative of a large change.

Ultimately, if you really don't like the name you can ask them to change it, but they're not obligated to do so.

People are always copying me. I'm fed up!. Please make an option to stop remixing. I go on many projects and someone has taken something of me and no credit given. Recently I tought someone how to use camera, so they go and use camera share it and ses to me they did it. I've tried the reporting bit but everything just got whorst and made me leave for an entire month. If this gos the wrong way I'm going. Its just against the community guidelines.

Please don't say this is wrong, its my oppinion!.

Please don't necropost.

Also, your suggestion has been rejected already since this goes against Scratch's motto and the CC license.

As explained in the other thread, we're not locking remixes. If someone copies your project, you can report it and we'll remove it if it really is just a copy. Otherwise, remixing is fair game. I'm not sure how someone can make you leave, but if they're being mean you can also report that and we'll take care of it.

Please stop bumping old threads.
