To spare the annoyance of Vocaloid/UTAU veterans, for the noobs:

VOCALOID
An amazing and expensive vocal synthesizer

UTAU
A free vocal synthesizer that is nowhere near as good (but still awesome)

VOCALOID IS NOT AN ANIME.
THERE ARE FANMADE PROJECTS BUT IT IS NOT AN ANIME.
VOCALOID IS NOT A MANGA.

There is already one topic actually, but I think it's vocaloid only, not utau.

How many utauloids do you even know? There are a few with upgraded voice banks that are as good if not better than vocaloids.

I'm talking about the software, although most of the time when I listen to a UTAU song it sounds much more robotic.
