Can we stop advertising ImageShack, please?

1: Tinypic is banned!
2: Cubeupload is one of the best image hosts Scratch has to offer
3: Support! Imageshack cost money and this could be confusing as Scratch is non-profit

Support. It's paid. I will quote TOLORS here:
1.4 Money blocks
[…] many users on the website are young and do not quite know how money works […]
Therefore, it's counter intuitive to allow imageshack, not to mention to encourage it.

At the moment, users looking to put images on the Forums who don't use a compatible image server receive the message please host your images with an image-hosting service like imageshack.com

I think this should be changed to Cubeupload, and here's why:

ImageShack needs an account. If you want to use ImageShack, you have to register with your name and email. While this wouldn't be a problem for many users, young children are often not permitted by their parents to register for accounts, especially if they could see a load of other people's uncensored images. On the contrary, Cubeupload does not require this, and i s therefore much simpler and easier to access for new users.

So does cube upload.

Maybe no image hosting sites should be advertised. All have their cons (images expire on Imageshack, tonnes require you to pay, cupeupload has a discord link, scratch image hosts are blurry or hard to use etc, Wikipedia can have innapropriate images,) , you get the idea. The only place it seems to be advertised is when you don't put a valid image. Maybe instead of the ImageShack example, it can be replaced by a list of the whitelisted sites from the scratch wiki? That is more constructive and fair on all image hosts

No need to try and continue this topic for reasons I've outlined in the OP. I'm closing it.

Cubeupload having a discord link isn't that big of a deal and I'm tired of mini-moderators pretending it is. You can't even legally register for discord unless you're 13 or older and it's really easy to catch someone online who's claiming to be older than they are. Plus, is a link offsite (a thing which is everywhere on Scratch) really a reason to delist cubeupload?
