no, this isn't a suggestion for removing remixing, this is just a suggestion to force the automatic credit so people don't download projects and then upload them without giving credit, I even remember reporting a project that did that once because it didn't give credit Doesn't this fall under 3.2 of TOLORS?

that's what I meant, the remix button would still be available, downloading and reuploading doesn't show that it's a remix making it easy to claim it as your ownNo, I meant the part about removing the download button.no, this isn't a suggestion for removing remixing, this is just a suggestion to force the automatic credit so people don't download projects and then upload them without giving credit, I even remember reporting one once Doesn't this fall under 3.2 of TOLORS?

Remove the “Save to your computer” button from the File drop-down if the project is not owned by you. This button makes it incredibly easy to copy projects, and if my suggestion is implemented the number of copied projects will decrease.
well remix just like copying than adding all sprite from other people project

Even if this gets removed, there are many workarounds to this. You could just backpack all the sprites and other assets into your own project, and of course the backpack isn't going to be removed - it's such a great feature that's so useful for making projects, and if it was removed there would be outrage. One could even get the ID of the project, put it into Turbowarp, and download the .sb3 file from there.
Removing the “Save to your computer” button would just be an inconvenience, with there being multiple workarounds. And this feature has a good amount of uses, such as:
You do have a point in that plagiarizing projects is an issue. I don't think attaching an original creator to the project file will work. It might help, but like I said, the backpacking workaround still exists. And it's totally possible to edit the project .json to make it look like it's your original project. But I regret to inform you that I don't really have a good idea for an alternative to stop project plagiarism. I mean, it's the internet. There's always going to be one way or another to copy something / pass something off as your own. Whether it's by copying an article with CTRL + C, cropping out a watermark from clip art, or going around not being able to directly download an image by taking a screenshot of it instead.
Perhaps there could be a pop-up, when using the backpack for the first time or downloading a project that isn't yours, telling you to not reshare the project as your own, and to give proper credit? Or maybe, this could be a Scratcher rank only feature? (Users with the Scratcher rank tend to follow the Community Guidelines more, and when you become a Scratcher it makes you read and agree to the Community Guidelines iirc.) Of course, this won't outright stop the problem but it may help. Like I said, this button can be pretty useful - I've found myself using it on other people's projects on numerous occasions - so I don't think it should just be removed like this. Well anyway, this has been my take on this. :P

- Being able to view projects you really like offline, just in case you don't have an internet connection when you want to view them.
- Being able to run a project faster.
- Being able to have a “backup” of someone else's project in case the creator deletes their account and all their projects.
- Being able to view and edit projects in the offline editor if you're internet connection isn't the best.
- Being able to check a project's size.

But you could just delete the ID and upload. LOL. Support, definitely could prevent people from stealing projects.True, but if you do make the project a remix people will be able to see it wasn’t originally yours and be able to report it. I don't think it will make a difference, as you can just remix and then save as a copy.
Maybe the ST could add an internal project ID to a project which is always linked to the file no matter what, and when you upload a project derived from the original project it’ll link the original project or something…. Ugh idk how to explain. But like, when you download a project it’ll always have the original creator connected to it so when you upload it again the site will know that it’s based upon another project.

Backspace key? mm. Support. this would be really good, as it could stop project stealing.. as for the remix tag, something like this? (i'm using the Scratch Camp 2021 teaser project as an example):
i'm more keen on the remix tag, though.
also this would make the site check for the “isOwner” tag and if it's false, and if it is, it finds the original project, and puts the remix thing on the project page.

Most Scratchers are 10-14 upon account creation and they probably don't know what project.json is, let alone how to modify it.But you could just delete the ID and upload. LOL.
