Requesting Scratch to fully delete an acount
Is it possible to request Scratch to fully delete an account to get the username back? I have contacted Scratch but I have recieved no replies.
(I have created the third Scratch account because I was in two minds about picking Scratch or Code.org to start learning about coding and programming

We don't recycle usernames so that other people can use them, if that answers your question.

I'm sorry, what do you mean by that? Could you make it clearer please? In addition, about my question I have contacted Scratch, I have asked them about getting my username back after I have permanently deleted my account but I have not received any replies yet.

I think what Za-Chary means is that you cannot use a username from an old account you deleted, even if it's yours. I'm sorry, what do you mean by that? Could you make it clearer please? In addition, about my question I have contacted Scratch, I have asked them about getting my username back after I have permanently deleted my account but I have not received any replies yet.
This is made to remove impersonation.

Oh okay! I wish that Scratch would be doing like other account service like Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. I mean, after permanently delete an account, when creating a new one, it is possible to get the username back.I think what Za-Chary means is that you cannot use a username from an old account you deleted, even if it's yours. If you live in the EU, you can send a GDPR request, which does recycle your data and fully delete your account, but it should only be done if you plan to never use Scratch again.

and it's very likely that your old name will become available again If you live in the EU, you can send a GDPR request, which does recycle your data and fully delete your account, but it should only be done if you plan to never use Scratch again.

Unfortunately, I am currently living in the US. Moreover, I rarely (or even never) use Scratch, I only used Code.org and Python. However, since it is one of the important parts of coding and programming so I still have to create a Scratch account in order to know which block is which block and the functions of each of them. you don't, you can still hit the create button and use the editor (or the offline one) Unfortunately, I am currently living in the US.
