I am creating SNES Rainbow Road as a project, but I need a checkpoint system so ‘Lakitu’ won't always respawn you at a certain point, but rather a few specific points. Any help?

I think the simplest way would be to set a variable to the farthest point you'v been on the track that's solid ground, and make you respawn here.

I might set checkpoints at certain points so you would respawn at the furthest one you've hit, thanks for the idea. I'll send you the link for the beta once it's done. I have quite an idea of how checkpoints work thanks to a YouTube video on ultra-cuts, though I will look into it. Thanks :-) you could have used the checkpoint system that mario kart wii used
