anyways seriously I don’t really think this is a good idea, I think the button is fine just the way it is and it could be more confusing than the current one

Semi-Support as it would been a great idea but people could confuse scratch for a social media site if the word “following” replaced the “Unfollow” text on the Button after you hit the button to follow the user.

I think this will make it confusing as the button doesn't say that you can unfollow people, and from that button, you know that you are following the person anyway

No support if it replaces the word Unfollow, but if it's somewhere above or under the button, that might be OK.

“Scratch shouldn't be more like other social media sites” isn't a good argument against this. Neither is “all the social media sites have it” a good argument for this.

Meh I could honestly go either way.

Also, Scratch IS a social medium by the textbook definition. It's just that that's not its main focus.

Scratch isn't a social media-I think that's widely known throughout the site. I fail to see how that would help. Besides-if you click the follow button, it should turn into the Unfollow button, to show the option. That way new scratchers aren't confused.

I can see a lot of problems unfolding and the new scratcher forum having a lot of questions about that.

also-I agree with this opinion. It won't do anything to improve the site and it will be confusing to new scratchers and veterans/regular scratchers alike.

While this seems like a good idea at first, new scratchers that don't use social media platforms might not realize that you can unfollow. No support.
