Yes, actually I don't mind the tracking, as it improves the software and databases. Plus, Google has all are information anyway so why worry?and with that setup you get the best of itGoogle, in Google Chrome.Mmm, don't you just love tracking software??

Probably most original here, Metager. www.metager.org
OP and other DDG users DDG tracks you to
After saying they don't collect anything, and don't spy on you.

We also save searches, but again, not in a personally identifiable way

Probably most original here, Metager. www.metager.orgThat's not tracking though. Your searches are not tied to you, and they have no way of identifying who the searches belong to. I don't see how that's “tracking” or “spying.”

…but they don't link the IP addresses, emails, etc, so who cares?
if you want privacy, you could use TOR or a regular VPN

TOR + Linux + VPN + Another proxy = Total securitytoo bad it's nearly impossible to install tor on the ChromeOS Linux terminal(I tried, but someone else may be able to get it to work.)
Edit: Wait a minute, I think you have something there that's wrong.
Linux, on it's own, doesn't give you privacy, mostly makes you safer from attackers because there's a bigger userbase on Windows. TOR doesn't show your IP at all, VPNs mask them, but you can still see where the VPN IP is sending to(this is the same as all proxies).
Basically, use TOR + DuckDuckGo, don't use a proxy or VPN, Linux is 55% optional.
