I support this, as normal Scratchers who have not use the forums before can still spam. No, new forumers shouldn't have scratchblocks right in Announcements forum instead.
Also, there was a suggestion a while ago requesting for users with less than 100 posts to not be able to post in the Announcement forum. The same could be implemented but with New Forumers being unable to post in that forum.
I also put in that same topic that spam posts, posts in April Fools topics Scratchblocks testing forum posts should not count towards being able to to post in that forum. If this suggestion were to be implemented, maybe those posts would not be able to count towards becoming a normal Forumer.
Sorry, you have to wait 60 seconds between posts.

Support, but I would prefer “New Forumer” to be changed to “New to Forums”.
The roles can reduce spam from Scratchers who just found out the forums.

semi-support, how would it be decided for people who are already on the forums?

As mentioned in the original post:
All current users will be New Forumers, unless they already met the criteria; anybody that joins the site will start as a New Forumer.

Support! But maybe not the benefit limit. I like this idea. I was a Scratcher a year ago (I feel old already) and I never used the forums-

No support, Pepole can say “HAHA LOSER I HAVE FOURMER YOU HAVE NOTHING”I mean, you do make a good point, but then again, there is no point bragging to others about your role.

Support! I think they should be on Scratch for 2 months like the Wiki and they need to be active on the forums for 1 month. That would be better than an post count which will decide! And the first post after 2-3 months.

Great idea! Many scratchers may just discover the forums and have no clue what to do.
