Allow usage of the word “discord” if used in the context of the original meaning

I believe that the word “Discord” shouldn’t be blocked anymore, as most of the time people using it aren’t using it in the context of the chat site, in fact many of the posts on the report problems with the filter forum are of people commenting about how messages saying “discord” are blocked even though they’re talking about the MLP character.

And even though the word discord is blocked, people have still been able to share their discords and discord servers on scratch through other means, which I feel like defeats the purpose of censoring the word.
Instead, perhaps block off things like “discord account” “discord server” and “discord tag” and make it so when a message says discord it sends a notification to the ST, but doesn’t automatically mute someone since most of the time it’s not being used in a bad context.

And, if someone is making a project starring the MLP character, how are they supposed to say what the character is in the title/description if the word is blocked? Or if someone asks who their favorite MLP character is? Or if they included the song “Discord” in their project, how are they supposed to credit the song?
There’s many reasons why the word should be unblocked, and I believe I made a fair argument.

Edit: fixed an error

That's the price with blocking such words — no one can use the original meaning. As a result, we have to think very carefully before blocking such a word. For example, Zoom is another unmoderated chat platform, but we haven't blocked “Zoom” outright, since the meaning of the word “zoom” is quite common.

I think Discord is a very big exception to this rule, however. Evidently it has been causing such a problem on Scratch due to its popularity — with not many Scratchers using it for the original meaning or the MLP character — that we decided to block the word. I am continually seeing chat requests with this platform on Scratch, so as a result I'm not sure that it is correct to say that “most” people don't use it to mean the chat platform. And, even still, we are continually finding Scratchers trying to work around the phrase by using clever words.

I don't think I have the authority to say that this is rejected, but I do find it unlikely that we would unblock the word.

Still, I’ve seen many people complain about not being able to talk about my little pony that I feel like my solution to the situation is a good idea. Rather than blocking the word, block links to the website and phrases associated with it. Since again, oftentimes people aren’t using it in the bad context.

Most of the time they are using it in the chat site context. I've seen multiple people today trying to share their chat site accounts.

It’s a different suggestion with a different solution, also said forum was made a few years ago and things have changed since then.

Every other topic I could find with this idea was closed, so I don't think this one will be any different.

I think based on both of those posts, this is rejected. Thanks for finding those. Evidently we are not interested in unblocking the term at this time.
