*If this is a duplicate, post the link. Even after searching with OCULAR, i couldn't find a topic dedicated to one. well, i did, but it's not like this.*
Anyway, discuss everything about search engines. I use DuckDuckGo. I turned off ads (you can too!).

DuckDuckGo ftw! :D
I love how customizable it is, and, of course, how it's not tracking your every move lol

DuckDuckGo ftw! :DWell, not really, unless you get privacy essentials, people at sites using google analytics can still track you

I use google since it's hard for me to get used to other search engines… I tried to use DuckDuckGo with the font as Roboto but I was unable to get used to it.

I use Google. I will gladly allow myself to be tracked; after all, Google Search results' quality is as good as it is because Google tracks its users
Sometimes I use Bing because Windows' search bar insists on using Bing. I believe DuckDuckGo gets most of its results from Bing (as does Yahoo Search), so their result quality is fairly similar (as Eric Trump once discovered in a Tweet about the image search results for “mob”)

duckduckgo
but at least the search engine itself isn’t tracking you
also privacy essentials is bad

I use Google. I will gladly allow myself to be tracked; after all, Google Search results' quality is as good as it is because Google tracks its usersIt's interesting how the thoughts on this vary. I think its results catering for you is ultimately harmful, because it will essentially give you the information you want, which in the age of misinformation is bad, as it will give you what you want to hear, whether it is true, reliable, etc or not. Engines like DuckDuckGo are unbiased and don't create result bias through the user's activities.

also privacy essentials is badI'm not sure how useful it is anymore considering that some browsers, such as Firefox, have tracking protections built in, but out of curiosity, why do you think it's bad? I haven't had any issues with it.

The only reason I can't switch from Google is this —
- Largest database of indexed pages — which means it's easy to find anything you want
- Advanced Search — I literally use it all the time, but, I don't know if DuckDuckGo has it, and I don't know about Bing at all.

you could get tracker/cookie/whatever else blocking with other extensions that are more customizable (and other things) and the grades for websites are just to say that google sucks. I’ve literally never found any website that had a grade other than google products.

I use Google. I will gladly allow myself to be tracked; after all, Google Search results' quality is as good as it is because Google tracks its usersif you like google then you can use startpage or whoogle. there are basically front end's for google search so you wont be tracked but you will still have the same search results as google
Sometimes I use Bing because Windows' search bar insists on using Bing. I believe DuckDuckGo gets most of its results from Bing (as does Yahoo Search), so their result quality is fairly similar (as Eric Trump once discovered in a Tweet about the image search results for “mob”)
some good google alternatives are
DuckDuckGo
Searx (not really a search engine just a customisable frontend)
Startpage (also not a search engine just a frontend for google)
whoogle (same as startpage but open source and self hostable)
