Preference of using Offline, or Online editor?

I know that Scratch is primarily an Online editor for more functionalities, but I use the offline editor more mainly because I feel it is more comfortable working on projects from my PC as a software stand alone application, rather than working from a web page. I don't know if it makes any difference, but I feel like working on projects seems to move a little smoother. Perhaps slightly “less” lag than running it from a web page? Though there are a few minor bugs with it, but that's fine, I suppose.

So with that said, my question is that do the scratchers here mostly use the online editor, or are others that like to use the offline editor as well? .

I prefer the online editor; it's easier these days to save and open projects using the online editor, particularly if you want to remix a project.

(my preference) Online editor if you want your projects to be saved quickly without any hassle, and so you can view them easily as well. But when scratch is down you cannot use it.

Offline editor if you have an unstable or no internet connection, also if you want to enjoy the peace of Scratch without interacting with the community. But the effort taken to load and save projects is more compared to the Online editor.

This is another reason why I want to choose the offline editor as a preference. If this were to occur, I would at least be able to continue working.

Also, I don't mind (re) loading my projects from PC into my online profile when I am done. It feels more natural to me, as if I am uploading my works like with other services.

I prefer the online editor- however, I will often backup my projects via download as I'm working on them. This way, if my internet ever goes out, I can switch to the offline editor.

Preference of using Offline, or Online editor?

I used to use the offline editor a few weeks before joining Scratch, but now i use the online editor because:
1. Backpack feature which can be useful at times
2. I can use (removed by AntonL1kesPotato - do not say extensions) which makes the editor a lot better
3.I can look if there is any messages quickly
4. The project autosaving which prevents me from having depression in case of losing save files/forgetting to save.

TurboWarp Desktop has both of these features, although you cannot backpack from the online editor to the offline editor so you'll have to export. Also it has one-click save after you decide which location to save it to so that may slightly satisfy 4.

Don't necropost, but here:
You can save the project to your computer by clicking the File button and then clicking “Save as” (or whatever it is now), and then upload it by clicking File -> Upload from your computer.
If you're on 2.0, you can also click File -> Share to website.
If you're on 1.x, clicking “Share” works too.

Can you please stop Necro posting this topic?

Offline app is exactly like online version, except you do NOT have cloud variables. It runs a lot smoother too.
Also, you can save your projects to your PC for things like private creations.

Oh……………. Right…….. You can close your own topics. I did not know that. I thought it was mod/staff related, or something.

Thanks.
