10+ Scratch Website
A 13+ site is rejected, and I get that. We don’t want much division in the community, however, they are turning Scratch into a place for really little kids, and it’s causing a lot of older kids like me to want to leave Scratch. So maybe a 10+ site would be beneficial because the kids who are still learning the ropes should can have a safe environment where no-one will judge them if their projects aren’t advanced, thus, less bullying overall. Once they get to know the Scratch site, they can go on the 10+ site, where most people of Scratch are. The 10+ site could have some slightly more advanced stuff, like a few of the rejected suggestions could actually work, because to a younger person, the block might be confusing, but to an older person, it might not be so confusing, because they have already learned the ropes on the younger site. There could also be more features kind of like in @design-ileb7’s project Scratch 4.0 UI. In conclusion, I do indeed believe a separate 10+ site would be beneficial to the Scratch community. Before you report this as a dupe, just know, most of them are wanting a 13+ site, not a 10+ site.

Even though a 13+ version of the site is rejected, this is also rejected. In general, age restricting content is not a good idea. And if there were advanced blocks, they could be put in a extension, so that they wouldn't be too confusing for new scratchers.

This would save Scratch because they are turning this site into a place for little kids, I get that, but us older kids would need a Scratch site of our own because many people who have been here for years are starting to leave Scratch because of this, this isn’t the Scratch we’re used to. Most scratchers are 10+, so age-restricting would be rather minimal.

7.2 A 13+ version of the Scratch website or age-restricted contentThe bolded statements apply to a 10+ website too.
Scratch is designed for ages 8 to 16, but any content shared on the website must be appropriate for all ages. Dividing the community by making a separate, age-restricted website would not be helpful. Potential restrictions from entering the website (such as a warning, or requiring a parent to answer math equations) would not necessarily stop an underage child from entering the 13+ website.

Still, a 10+ site would be near identical to the original site, just with more advanced features, and we would have the same community guidelines on the 10+ site. I believe it would be very helpful to have this site so many older kids can enjoy the Scratch experience just as well as the younger kids.

But it's still rejected to have a secondary website restricted to people of a certain age. Still, a 10+ site would be near identical to the original site, just with more advanced features, and we would have the same community guidelines on the 10+ site. I believe it would be very helpful to have this site so many older kids can enjoy the Scratch experience just as well as the younger kids.

This is rejected. There is completely no age-restricted content in Scratch.

It’s not even restricted, it’s advised that it’s for 10+. If an underage child feels comfortable, they could go on the site for all we care.

Yeah, I think the age-restriction argument applies no matter where you draw the line. All content must be okay for all Scratchers.
