Allow managers to MANAGE STUDIOS
In the new update, managers can NO LONGER EDIT studio titles, descriptions, or thumbnails, which makes managers useless. This breaks many studios whose owner is gone/left Scratch. Scratch Team, please, please revert this change before it goes live in a few hours.

I would rather have them split manager into 2 roles: Manager and Super Manager. Managers can:
Edit: I found the PR a while ago. There should only be 50 super managers, while there can be an infinite amount of regular managers.
- Promote People to Manager
- Invite People to the studio
- Remove curators from the studio
- Add projects
- Remove projects
- Do everything managers can
- Change the title, description, and thumbnail
- Promote people to super manager
- Demote people from manager

i hope the change is a temporary change to prevent rioting when the update goes live. but based on the other changes in this update, it seems far fetched to think that.
at least allow transfering ownership of a studio. (eg. via contact-us, managers of a studio can request transfer from an inactive owner)
the fact that managers wont be able to manage studios is a bit concerning, especially since it appears like they waited for the last minute to add this change in to prevent discussion before the update.

Support!
Managers should have the power to obviously change the description and thumbnail, they are very very important parts of a studio, the sad thing is, we won't be able to change a studio's description at all if this is implemented, if the manager is inactive. This is the same for thousands of studios where the owner is inactive or has completely abandoned scratch. Same applies for thumbnails.

I didn't mind the other Scratch 3.0 studio limits too much before, but this is getting crazy. First the reply limit that got 56 thumbs downs about 100 negative comments and it still got merged, then the manager limt, which honestly should be enough to prevent most studio raids, and now this!? They didn't even let people give any feedback or even thumbs up/down it beacuse they locked the RP as soon as it was made.
I mean, even the ST have got to agree with not implementing this one, because it means that once an SDS studio is created, only one person can change the title, description or thumbnail and if that ST member is too busy to actively maintain the studio, too bad.
If they're working this hard to prevent studio raids and RPs, why didn't they just reuse the gallery code, give it a Scratch 3.0 skin and be done with it?
Anyway, I sure hope their explanation for all these incredibly dumb limits is very, very good.

Oh no, I can't edit descriptions in a studio where I'm a manager and not the owner!

Yeah I'll agree that the manager position cannot really do anything. It kinda stinks bc I'm a manager in this older studio and the owner is gone.

Huge support. A lot of managers on my studios update the description and now they cannot do it.

support! a ton of big studios rely on multiple people being able to change the description. making it so only one person can change the studio descriptions is not going to work and is just going to make people use shared accounts so multiple people can change the description. this is such a extreme prevention of raids.

MASSIVE support. That’s the biggest issue I have with this update. What about studios where the owner was banned or is inactive? Are they just supposed to deal with the studio staying the same forever?

I guess the ST aren't going to be very happy when they get a bunch of contact-us messages requesting to transfer studio ownership.

support. this breaks things like the forum helpers and doesn't really make any sense. as people have said, it's not really a manager role if you cant manage things.

Support. Managers were not given previous notice about this so that they could prepare their studios. This is a major inconvenience and it renders managers useless. The owner of the LGBTQ+ studio, for example, has been inactive for two years. Perhaps the owner should be able to toggle certain managing permissions, but permissions like these should not be changed without notifying managers. I would also support two manager roles, but all former managers should be given the higher one.

This really, really, needs to be fixed. 25 comment limit? 40 managers? Managers can’t do anything? What the heck? I’m stressing over this. If this is not fixed I might as well not be in studios at all
Edit: This update is kinda stressing me out, I feel sick, like actually sick
