How do I make things to make a platformer like jumping, and not going through walls?

Thanks, I did video 2, but after I go through it, it erases what I have been past. How do I fix this?

I'd watch that tutorial series through episode 6, then turn it into a unique project. Alternatively, you can use this (lower budget) scrolling platformer tutorial.

1. Necroposting is posting on an irrelevant/old topic
2. If someone is posting in HwS then the probably want help from other people and not guides from the internet

No, Thingy, every day hundreds of people post the same things “how to make a platformer” when they could scroll down fro two seconds and find another topic that is the same thing. It's my definition of necroposting - posting irrelevant topics that have been answered already a thousand times.

Necroposting, lets break it down. Necro basically means dead and post means you post something. Posting on dead topics is what necroposting is.

I suggest checking out @griffpatch and his Youtube channel. He covered non-scrolling, screen-scrolling and tile-scrolling types of platformer already.

I guess, but to be honest I think this should be perceived as a necropost.

This clearly isn't a necropost, however it has clearly gone off-topic. Let's try not to discuss this any further and wait for the OP to come back with a response instead.
