Remove the boxes around "invisible sprites".
I know most of us really hate this update from what I've heard. I do too, and it's really annoying, especially having those boxes around sprite thumbnails. It's annoying to the max.
I know that they did this to keep track of invisible sprites for New Scratchers, but those more advanced and more used to the website really want this feature to be undone.
Any supporters?

if that was its only intent, it has also done a good job of wasting space in the editor

Well, maybe the reason the ST did that was so that people won't secretly crash the player, hide inappropriate content, or lock downloads. And remixing means able to change and view 100% of the coding.
No support.

Maybe. The only way to find out would be to ask them…

Support. Without it Remix Copiers can just yank remix protection out of protected projects. And you can never get anybody with a really good Rickroll anymore. xD

What's the point of removing it? There's no space wasted, and
If they backpack sprites, there's no point in having “protection”, and if they remix, it's pretty obvious who owns it anyways (and you can always report the remixed copy) remix copiers can just yank remix protection out of protected projects

I thought there was something seriously wrong with Scratch when I saw those things before I read the update.

It looks like the grid is going to be removed in the next update. The proposed alternative is that sprites with no letter or numbers in the name will say “Untitled” instead.

Like I said on the announcement post, I feel like the boxes look bad in comparison to the rest of 2.0's graphics. They shloud at least make them subtle and fade out with semi-transparent gradients.

I think there should be an option in the info pane for this to be on or off.

What's the point of removing it? There's no space wasted, (Not true - there used to be room for five sprites per row of sprites, and now only four) and

Yeah, but most remix copiers just click the remix button, and it saves you a lot of trouble if you get a featured project for instance.

Yes! I can work around this, I think.
