Is this a real GDPR account or a hacker/fake?
So I found this account when reading comments on Za-Chary’s profile, where someone linked a forum post.
https://scratch.mit.edu/users/gdpr533f604550b2f20900645890/
It appears to be a GDPR account, however the username doesn’t follow the traditional naming scheme of a GDPR account, including more than the usual amount of numbers and a few letters, too. Also, I think it has waaaaaaay more than the maximum amount of symbols in it but I could be wrong.
It’s also listed as being 21 years old, and the comments are shut down and the comments section is permanently “loading”.
Does anyone know what’s up with this account? Is it a glitched GDPR account? Or is it a hacker of sorts?
I hope this doesn’t count as gossiping on other users, I don’t think it does since it’s more of a technological question about the scratch website than a question related specifically to the user.

Might just be hacked due to unusual account reasons.

Yeah, maybe. Info on GDRP account. 2021-21 = year 2000 but scratch was released on year 2007 (GDPR accounts want their data deleted under the General Data Protection Regulation act.). Info from GDRP account article: It is also commonly that some of the GDPR accounts are test accounts, even by a Scratch Team member, however it is just as likely that the account belonged to a regular user who wanted their data deleted under the General Data Protection Regulation act.

*Ahem* 2021-21 = year 2000 but scratch was released on year 2007https://en.scratch-wiki.info/w/images/thumb/Gdpr0000001.PNG/600px-Gdpr0000001.PNG
It was right in the wiki.

It is real. Hacked accounts don't exist.

Depends on what ambiguation of your meaning “hacked”. It is real. Hacked accounts don't exist.

I mean the fact that the account has a start date listed as 1/1/2000 and has a name longer than the 20 character limit means it was created by the Scratch Team. A “hacked account” in the sense that some kind of normal person got around those limits is maybe possible but extremely unrealistic.Depends on what ambiguation of your meaning “hacked”. It is real. Other people can hack too. It is a real GPDR account, as it had forum posts (evidence here) and the original username is in the post below.

https://scratch.mit.edu/users/ees2elddaP/That's interesting and proves the possibility that someone could remove the creation date of an account, but it doesn't really make any headway for the GDPR account being “hacked”. There's just no reason for someone to go out of their way to fake a GDPR account like that. It just seems like the Scratch Team has switched to a random string instead of consecutive numbers to get people to stop talking and asking about GDPR accounts. Other people can hack too. Example:

It's real, the scratch team would've done this just to make it random.

Indeed since only ST can break the 20 char limit on usernames. And also only ST can wipe user data (GDPR)

The data wasn't completely wiped for some reason. I still even see their forum posts from time to time.
