When I go to this link: https://scratch.mit.edu/community_guidelines/) (notice the closing bracket “)” ), I get automatically signed out. This has happened with other links ending with “)”, but some keep me signed in. Do other Scratchers have the same issue?

Edit: I'm also not able to sign back in on the page that signed me out.

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 91.0.4472.114, No Flash versions detected

That's obvious, after you log in you're redirected to the same page, and again, that page logs you out, it's sort of recursive, just sign-in from this and it should work.

I'm not sure if this bug is fixable. Just try avoiding it

I believe it's also because the Scratch link does not exist.

a simple 404 error isnt the reason you get logged out

Oh! Noted, thanks. Found something on Google, some cookies containing JSON are malformed.

Fixing malformed cookies seems like an incredibly hard task. Just try not to use those links.

The server sends them to you and replaces it, then the server is like

Wait I don't recognize this cookie, so they're probably not <USERNAME>, so you're gonna be signed out!

You can't fix it without replacing the malformed cookie into the current version, so a userscript that saves the current cookie and stuff can be done but it's too complex for the average scratcher.

It is really creepy…it makes me feel like someone is overlooking me.

I hope the ST will find a way to fix this.

Should be easy, since this is caused by malformed cookie.

This happens with any website ending with scratch.mit.edu/about and then something else.
