Ok, whether or not that happened, they do have a point.
The main reason that this was suggested was because the OP likes Rats, which is quite selfish in my opinion. This really depends on what you're saying, for example, here is an example showing the bad reply and the good reply (In this context):

Those things can be used for things other than being mean. And a rat emoji doesn't represent much for others:
