How do I Upload a ZIP?
How do I upload a .ZIP file to the Costume Editor? If you could provide screenshots and/or a video clip, that would be great.

You can't. The only supported image file formats are:
Bitmap:
Bitmap:
- .JPG
- .PNG (default)
- .GIF (every frame gets converted to a costume)
- .SVG

You can't. A zip file is not an image.

I'm saying if a ZIP is a bunch of images, is there a way to separate the images into costumes?

ZIP files aren't supported. You have to manually extract the images and upload them that way (or add them all to a .GIF and upload them that way)You can't. A zip file is not an image. You can't. The only supported image file formats are:

.zip files aren't images. They're for compressing things so that it's easier to move/download them. You can't do things like run programs inside them because they're archived so you have to extract everything that's in it.
- Right click on the .zip file you want to extract
- Press extract all
- Open the new folder that just popped up
<- stuff that was inside (can't actually import into the costume editor because it's a .txt but you get the point)

If you have a .ZIP file of images, extract the images by using the instructions above and then upload each image by themselves.
A way to think of it is .ZIP files are folder files while .PNG (etc.) are image files. Scratch only takes image files. I'm sure that's not the technical terms for it, but that's the basic principle here.

And whn you extract, import all of the pictures at once into Scratch. So it's actually a lot simpler that most people think! .zip files aren't images. They're for compressing things so that it's easier to move/download them. You can't do things like run programs inside them because they're archived so you have to extract everything that's in it.Now you can actually use the stuff that was in the .zip file.
