Wait so the studio comments API that returns JSON will no longer exist?!

they already have done that

disclaimer: sometimes my posts are pretty critical of the scratch team (especially my older ones), but i really do scratch & scratch team. jvvg made a short essay thing about the scratch team, which is a pretty good read, if you want a different perspective for the scratch team's actions.

“it’s not lagging for me on a cutting edge chip from this year”
most people on scratch aren’t using high-end gaming desktops. it’s annoying sometimes, but you have to think about the people who are using slow laptops from the early 2000s that can barely render 200 clones, let alone 300 or 1,000

Rendering them on the screen and having 300 or 1000 hidden clones are two different things. It could be a limit to how many can render at once, but not on actual clone creation.

Like a drawable limit rather than a clone limit.

They even started testing with /studios instead of /studios-playground! We are very close to studios migration on the main website (maybe within 10 days)

I wasn't saying that you were using a high-end gaming desktop, I was saying that there are a lot of people who have old laptops.

I feel like people would be confused when they could make 1,000 clones, but most of them were hidden and couldn't be made visible.
