Banned on an Alt Account
What if you had a main account, then you created an alt account. The alt account gets banned, so you can’t use it anymore. Would it be ban evading if you kept on using your main account, aka the account that you had before?

Yes. If you are banned on one account, you cannot use Scratch on any account (bots don't count, though).

As someone who has experience with these kinds of things, if your alt account was blocked because your main was blocked in the past, then it's fine to use your main. But if you want your alt account back, you need to contact the Scratch Team with Contact Us.

Uh, no it's not. The ST doesn't ban accounts, they ban people. If you are banned on one account and use another account, then you will most likely get IP Banned. if your alt account was blocked because your main was blocked in the past, then it's fine to use your main
IP bans are normally used when a user creates alternate accounts in order to get around an account ban, sometimes known as sockpuppetry. The IP ban prevents access on the network that has the banned IP, preventing the Scratcher from using a different account to continue their trouble. However, this does not stop the user since this can be evaded by using proxies or changing the IP address. Bugs have been reported that the IP ban can make users that are innocent to become unexpectedly banned.

The forums don't let New Scratchers link to non-scratch.mit.edu domains, even the official wiki. Try using the [wiki] tag instead, and see if that works. Why isn't it linkifying?

You're misinterpreting what they're saying. If your main account gets banned, and your alt gets banned for ban evading, once your main account gets unbanned, using your main account is no longer ban evading even though your alt is still banned. yes it is. My friend's alt got banned, she used her main account, and it got banned. Please do research before making claims
I have been technically “ban evading” for the past 11 months since one of my alts got permanently banned, but it had no connection to my account, so I have no clue whether that counts or not.

Yes. If any of your accounts are banned, then all of them are. just because you can access your main while your alt is banned does NOT mean you should

PaddlerGames was saying that if you're unbanned on one account, you're allowed to use it, even if you're still banned on other accounts. Yes. If any of your accounts are banned, then all of them are. just because you can access your main while your alt is banned does NOT mean you should

I'm not gonna quote a long thread, but imagine a quote is there.
You are all misinterpreting what they are saying.
Say you get a banana. BUT the person who gave you the banana says you can't take a picture of it and use a 3D printer to get another one. You do anyway, and so the person takes away your banana and also the copy of your banana. Then, later, they feel sorry for you and give your banana back, but they forget to give the copy of your banana back. Is it then logical to presume that since they only gave you one banana back, you may not use that banana? No. It's not.

Technically since I’m really confused on these mixed things you guys are saying, I’ll simplify my question. I was asking, if my alt account gets banned, but my main account wasn’t banned, would it be ok to still use my main account? Would I be banned on that one?

You're not supposed to ban evade, and even if it was your alt, it's still considered to be ban evasion. Yes. It is then considered ban evasion. The ST doesn't ban accounts; they ban people. For more information, see this quote from the Scratch Wiki about IP bans: Technically since I’m really confused on these mixed things you guys are saying, I’ll simplify my question.
