Have the "Scratchers Worldwide" map have an option to be a list instead.

Hi!

On the statistics page, there is a map called “Scratchers Worldwide” where if you hover over a country, it tells you the name of the country, the percentage of Scratchers* that live there, and how many Scratchers actually live there (for example Antarctica has 0% of Scratchers and 0 Scratchers

). This has worked pretty well, but there are 2 major flaws. 1. the small countries. All countries in Oceania (except for Australia, New Zealand, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands), the Maldives, Monaco, and Vatican City were either too small or completely off the map that it's almost impossible to see their stats, even if you zoom in as much as possible. 2. it's misleading. Here's a quote explaining why (credit to fdreerf):

So I think there should be an option for a list instead of a map, so it's MUCH easier to see the smaller countrys' stats. It should be sorted by most Scratchers first, to least Scratchers last. Also, if you were in list format and clicked on a country, it would take you to visual format and zoom in on the country you clicked on. There would be 4 filters (most Scratchers, least Scratchers, alphabetical order (ascending), and alphabetical order (descending)). Here's a list of the 5 countries with the most Scratchers to get the ST started:

USA - 26,175,696 Scratchers
UK - 4,372,468 Scratchers
China - 3,113,966 Scratchers
Poland - 2,736,822 Scratchers
Australia - 2,389,575 Scratchers

Pros:

Will make it much easier for the Scratchers that live in small countries.
Would make it easier for Scratchers to compare different countries' Scratcher populations.

Cons:

None I can think of.

*So confusion doesn't spark, I am using “Scratchers” as a synonym for “users”, not as the rank.

Yes, but it is fun to see the visual graphic. Maybe there could be both, like how there are options for stack, stream or expanded? Visual, and list? The default should be set to list though.

This could also be good for people with visual differences.

I think maybe when it's in list format, then if you click on one of the countries in the list, it should go to the visual format and Zoom in on the country's area.

I don’t think this is that big of a deal to add a practically entire new feature that a current feature mostly does. Although it would be nice if you could zoom in on the map, as that fixes the issue without having to create something completely different

I like comparing different countries in terms of Scratcher population, and it would be easier to do so with a list. I'll keep considering it, however.

Vatican City is 0.17 square miles. San Marino is 17 square miles. So, San Marino is like 100x bigger. <sarcasm>Very similar in size.</sarcasm>

maps look better, but lists are more practical, so support for adding a list and keeping the map.
