Vista was good, but most PCs at the time were underpowered and couldn't run Vista (the “Designed for Windows XP/Windows Vista Capable” thing played a huge part). Windows 7 refined Vista, but under the hood it was pretty much the same (the version number was now 6.1 instead of 6.0)

Going by Windows 8.1 basically being Windows 8 SP1, Windows 7.1 already exists (7 SP1).

Test how good your computer is at doing math. 3DS and Wii U online after shutdown.

Windows 7 is busy making Roblox gaming videos and Windows XP is in college. They'll eventually move on to other things than to be installed on billions of computers.

I have an odd obsession with Windows sounds lol I used to have the Windows XP shutdown sound as my email notification sound, and now I have the Windows 7 Logon Character sound
