Chat Engine with player whitelist
Hello, is there a way to make a chat game with a player whitelist? I have tried to make a game like that but it did not work. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

you can have the player type in anything and block out everything that isn't whitelisted (not a very good solution) or create a list of buttons with basic sayings that you know are not mean such as “hi” and when they click that specific button, that is what they say. as for the rest of it, you will need cloud variables and/or cloud lists (there is a tutorial).

Cloud chat projects are banned, even if there are whitelists in place.
Only chat with selectable phrases can be made.
Is there a reason why? If there is a whitelist for players, then nobody other than your friends can message you in the chat. The only way somebody else can type in the chat is if they hack one of your friends. I don't think somebody would spend time searching for stolen databases and finding your password on there. They could just use discord. The only reason why I don't use discord is because its blocked on my school network.

The reason chat projects aren't allowed is because it's impossible for the Scratch Team to moderate them.Cloud chat projects are banned, even if there are whitelists in place.

More accurately, it's uncontrolled, and can be a way for inappropriateness to spread. I remember a post talking about this, and how it's not allowed. Let me look for it.
I'm a decent coder who has a huge passion for coding. I taught myself all the coding skills I have now. And with those skills, I have made some pretty decent projects, check them out! Be sure to ⭐ ❤️ & Follow, too! I have a few pictures below which are actually links. Click on them to take to different projects that I made. Might come in handy. :)
Need a project where you can check to see if you can use someone's camera or not? Here's one:
Need a project to detect when someone has clicked the stop sign? Take a look at this:
Need a project that can point at specific clones, etc? Why not use this:
Need to prank someone? Tell them to click this picture, but also make sure they're signed onto Scratch, otherwise, it doesn't work:
For more of my projects, just click on this picture:

Make a cloud variable in a project and a green rectangle will pop up. Click the “learn more” and on that page is the reason why these are not allowed.
if <((1) + (1)) = [2]> then
look at the multiplayer game [https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/529773474/]::motion
else
delete your scratch account::motion
