hello i am obviously digthebone and i need help…


for some reason when i upload a mp3 song i downloaded to add a soundtrack to my game or animation of the project i am making all it does is upload a sound that doesn't sound like anything and it doesn't upload the actual song so am i doing anything wrong? I don't know but just please help!

Yes, this is a bug that happens a lot.
Just convert it to a .wav and re-upload it

@grokblah, a Scratch Team member, had posted earlier today that this bug was fixed. So could you try uploading your problem mp3's again? It might turn out to work.

still doesn't work

look at this: this link is to show you what the problem looks like

covert to .wav file and that will fix it.

The reson why this may be been bcz u downloaded the song from like youtube and the services that take videos an convert them into an .mp3 may not be the way scratch will read the file to fix the file your self is to get the song from a real source maybe like soundclound or itunes. if u are taking songs from youtube and trying to download them by using this website http://www.youtube-mp3.org/ this website to download songs for scratch the songs will not upload right. if u see a song on youtube try maybe looking it up on soundcloud or try mp3skull.com.

Mp3skull has songs that are all encoded differently so try a few and see witch song download link will work.

Soundcloud has songs with ablum covers there are some songs that u can and cant download so try finding a site that will take any link from soundcloud and let u download the song. just google something like

i got it from amazon cloud player not youtube
