Well. Scratch lags on Safari SO HARD.
Using Scratch on Safari is basically painful. Motions are laggy, ticks are slow, sprite-designer's colour picker doesn't work, etc etc. Even Chrome does a better job. Well, uhhh what's exactly the cause? (macOS 11.0.1, Safari 14.0.1)

Intel)I cannot stop laughing!!! You could've waited a few months to get a machine 10x more powerful MacBook Air 2020 (
(i3 bruh)

I use a MacBook Air 2020, M1, 16GB RAM, and it's the fastest computer I've ever used in my life, I feel sorry for you, the best thing you can do is replace your slow Intel i3, with an M1 (if all the apps you use are compatible), I used Safari for Scratch and I'm literally #3 in -rex-'s scratch benchmark with safari, https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/441947766/!!

I use Safari on a Mac too, but I've never had anything out of the ordinary with lag in scratch. Is it only on specific projects or just in general?

NO WAY (I just lag 24/7 on an iPad mini, I didn’t think that the size could make that big of a difference I use Safari on an iPad and I have no problems.

Scratch doesn’t run all that well on any mobile devices, it’s not designed to run on them.NO WAY (I just lag 24/7 on an iPad mini, I didn’t think that the size could make that big of a difference I use Safari on an iPad and I have no problems.)

Scratch 3.0 is designed to run on mobile devices, and edit code on desktop OSs it’s not designed to run on them.
did you even read the OP? They said macOS 11, not Safari 11 Safari11+ is unsupported browser
macOS 11.0.1, Safari 14.0.1)Their OS is the latest major release of macOS, but not minor, I recommend updating your OS to 11.4 as there have been a few major security issues that have been resolved. Safari 14.1.1 will also be auto-updated when you update macOS. Well, uhhh what's exactly the cause? (

That is straight up wrong. Where are you getting your information? Every version of Safari Safari11+ is unsupported browserolder than 11 is actually unsupported.

What are the system requirements for Scratch?~ https://scratch.mit.edu/info/faq
Scratch will run in most current web browsers on desktops, laptops and tablets. You can view projects on mobile phones, but currently you are not able to create or edit projects on phones. Below is the list of officially supported browsers.
Chrome (63+)
Edge (15+)
Firefox (57+)
Safari (11+)
Internet Explorer is NOT supported.

Click on the Apple Logo at the top left corner.

Then click on ‘About This Mac’

Then tell me what version is written at the top (for you)

actually it's not that bad, outside of the rather underpowered processor it's pretty much fine. the m1 one is better but still pretty fresh so not really that cheapIntel)I cannot stop laughing!!! You could've waited a few months to get a machine 10x more powerful MacBook Air 2020 (
